I LOVE THIS HYDRATION PACK,

This review is from: Camelbak Annadel 50 oz Hydration Pack (Sports)
I've struggled to find a good solution for hydration - I run with my dog, and carrying enough water for both of us is a problem. Stashing water ahead of time is a pain. Dragging my husband out at oh-dark-thirty to drive around and deliver water is unfair. I've tried several solutions, but carrying bottles is hard to do in my hands and still handle the leash, and water belts slop around on my hips and drive me nuts. Hydration packs seemed like the obvious solution, but they're pricy and most are cut for men and just don't fit right. This little pack, though, is Just Right! It's cut for a woman, so it's comfortable across the chest and sits right on my back. 50 oz is enough for 8-10 miles (depending on how hot it is), so enough for most runs - and at least when we run longer, husband only has to meet us once. The bladder has a large opening, so it's easy to fill and clean, and it's easy to get in and out of the pack. The vest isn't hot at all, especially if you toss the full bladder in the fridge overnight before the run. It's fitted enough to not move around, but doesn't rub or chafe. The first time I ran with it, the water sloshed a bit, but squeezing the air out after filling solved that problem too. I can easily drink out of the bite valve on the run, or pinch it with my fingers and squeeze the pack a bit to give the dog a drink - and there's a valve on the bite valve that guarantees no leaks between sips. There are pricier packs out there, but this one does the job for me! Now I want this pack with built in LEDs front and back for running in the dark and it'll be the perfect solution!

How to solve the water sloshing problem.,
By
This review is from: Camelbak Annadel 50 oz Hydration Pack (Sports)
I've had a few different camelbaks, and I especially like the newer ones designed for women. I am 5'1", so the regular sizes are much too large! I also find the sternum strap very useful so the shoulder straps don't slip. After several years of using camelbaks, I've figured out how to solve the problem of water sloshing. After you fill the reservoir, make sure it's sealed tightly, then turn the whole thing upside down, so the place where the hose enters the reservoir is the highest point. Suck on the mouthpiece until you get all the air out of the hose and the reservoir. Let the mouthpiece close again so no air enters, then turn the pack right side up, and you should be ready to go with minimal sloshing. Explanation: the water sloshes around if there is air in the reservoir. By turning it upside down, any air will go to the (now) top where the hose enters. By sucking out the air, you remove the empty space that the water has to move around. Now that there's no extra space, as you drink the water and don't let air enter (for example by biting the mouthpiece after you're done drinking and letting the water go back up into the pack or blowing air into it) then the pack will collapse as it empties, like a tube of toothpaste when you empty it by squeezing from the bottom. I hope this helps! I also found the sloshing extremely noisy and annoying. Keep running!

I purchsed this item to use while biking and running. Its pretty good. Does exactly what it's supposed to - allows you to carry water. I do have a few minor gripes about the product. You can hear the water sloshing around as you drink. Not minor sloshing like you would expect but really loud - people passing by can hear loud. Also there is nothing to attach the mouth piece to when your not drinking. On the up side - the pockets are amazing!! I have enough room to take a few gels, a power bar, my keys and cell phone with me. And they're not cramped. All in all pretty decent product. I would prefer that the water did slosh around but for price and ease of use I'd buy again.
