This cleaning kit is ideal for keeping your reservoir (bladder) clean. The brush for cleaning the tube does a particularly good job. The plastic thingy for drying the reservoir is great as it keeps the two sides apart, for complete drying. My only complaint is that the kit only includes 2 cleaning tablets. You'll be back for more in a few weeks.

You may not always clean your hydration system every time you use it, but eventually there will come a day that you are afraid to drink from it and you will need this simple collection of tools to salvage it. Let the cleaning tablets do their job for about 5 minutes to loosen everything up and sanitize the walls of the bladder. Then just use the brushes to make sure that everything you want out of your bladder and tubes and fittings is gone, then use the hanger to dry the bladder in an open position to ensure that all the moisture is gone for storage.

This tool kit is well thought out and manufacturered.

If you own the Camelbak Catalyst be warned that due to the smaller fill aperture you cannot use either the large brush or the drying mounts. This kit is only useful for the tube brush and, possibly, the the cleaning tablets.

I'd purchased a camelbak cleaning kit in the past and it worked great, so I was quite disappointed when I tried out this model. Simply put, I could only squeeze the hose brush in about a quarter of the way before it gets stuck and won't go any farther. My old brush was attached to a metal cable, but this one is attached to a plastic tube.

I'm not sure if the brush is too big, or if my hose is too small (It a real Camelbak) but I'd look elsewhere.

I'm giving it two stars because the rest of the kit seems to function just fine.

I bought the cleaning kit out of desperation. There were black moldy spots in the tubing system of my Camelbak!! Once the cleaning kit arrived,I couldn't get the wire applicator all the way through the tube to clean the spots. I ended up just using the tablets and the thing that looks like a toliet bowl cleaner in the bladder and then I ran watter through the tube to eventually get the black mold out. I'm not sure what the hanger thing is for...there are no directions that mention it.

The big brush you can get at Walmart - just don't use it for any other cleaning. The small brush for tube cleaning won't work because you cannot get it around the 90 degree turn in the mouthpiece. I use a clothes pin to hang the water bag. I use a plastic cup to spread the bag open for air drying. Wash it after every use and you won't need the tablets.

This kit was really helpful to clean my camelbak (model Unbottle 100oz), totally colonized by algae... Just one bad point: this kit just contains 2 tablets, few more would be appreciated!!

The brushes work well for cleaning and you can cheap out and use denture tablets when the CB ones are gone. The drier works ok, there always seems to be a bit of water at the mouth of the reservoir but I guess it's impossible to get it all out. I think you can bend a plastic hanger and get something to work almost as well as this setup but for the price and what you get it's a good enough deal, I'm happy I have it and use it after every hike.

Frankly, if you own a Camelbak, this is money well spent. The tube will get moldy because it's impossible to get clean without this. My only gripe is that the tube cleaning brush is not quite long enough and stiff enough to easily get through the tube. This could be improved a bit. It might also loosen up a bit over time.

Wish I had one of these a long time ago. Easy to use to, and everything needed to do the proper cleaning job after each use.
