5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Long Runs May 30, 2011
    Color Name:Lime/Graph| Size Name:50 oz|Amazon Verified Purchase
I used to make fun of people I saw running with these things on. In all honesty they are silly looking. But for long runs they are a life saver. It takes about two minutes of being on my back before I forget it is there. It is much better than carrying a bottle, and holds about four times as much. It supplies enough water for fifteen miles on a hot day. There is a little pocket on the back that can fit your keys and an ipod, which I prefer to having my ipod strapped to my arm. The pocket is not good for gels or anything that you want to access without having to stop and take the pack off. I think the greatest benefit of Camelbaks is the freedom of not have to plan runs around water breaks. For the price, I really can't recommend the HydroBak enough.

    2.0 out of 5 stars Camelbak HydroBak 50 oz July 22, 2011
Color Name:Black| Size Name:50-Ounce|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is not a good hydration pak for runners. There is no waist band or sturnum strap, so the pack bounces around a lot as you run. If you are a runner, any pack you wear should fit snug so it hugs your back and does not bounce.

I bought this Camelbak to use in long run/walks. I have had no problems with bouncing or sloshing of water. I did take another reviewer's advice and once the reservoir had been filled, I turned the bladder upside down and sucked the air bubble out through the mouthpiece, maybe that was the trick. I almost wish I would have purchased a larger Camelbak now but this one works well and is lightweight.

Updated 4-15-2012: I did purchase a larger Camelbak (70 oz. Rogue), and I prefer the 50 oz. HydroBak for run-walks up to 4 hours. You can store GU gels, Cliff Bars, and plastic pouches of Gatorade in the large pack without problem.

To keep the HydroBak from bouncing, just tighten the straps a little as you drink.
