I love this pack. I don't need the big and bulky things, but I found the light weight ones weren't quite enough. This is the perfect medium. In terms of hydration packs, this has been the easiest to fill, empty and clean! It has the perfect amount of storage for me. Enough room for my keys, smart phone, granola bars and even room for some more nick knacks if needed. The outside loops are perfect for when I need to clasp something on via a carabiner.

My favorite thing about this is where the tube is. It's tucked away in the strap, which keeps the mouth piece from dragging on the ground or rubbing up against who knows what. In addition, it keeps it insulated for the winter. I haven't been able to test it in below freezing conditions yet, but from my experience with previous hydration packs, this has more than adequate insulation to prevent the water from freezing. It also has an easy lock and unlock clip to prevent the water from leaking via the mouth piece. Also, the chest buckle is nice. Helps prevent my shoulders from getting sore.

One last thing I like is the suction. After I get a drink, I used to have to blow the water back in the pack or else it would get really warm in the tube (during warmer days). But I've found out that after you get a drink, all you have to do is squeeze the mouth piece so the hole opens, and the water goes right back into the pack to keep cool. Super easy!

Bought this for skiing in Utah, and it worked as advertised. Easy on the lifts, packs enough water for the day, or at least until lunch, and you never really feel like it's on your back. The storage space is a bit limited, but wallet, iPod, keys, phone, point-and-shoot camera, and a granola bar will fit in nicely. The water line did freeze up when the outside temp got into the low teens (Fahrenheit), but you can get it going by getting in the sun or holding with your hand for bit. Sure beats digging a water bottle out of your jacket. Seems like it will also be handy for summer hikes!

I ordered this pack for Nordic skiing and have been very happy with it. I ditched the original bladder and

bought a Nalgene as I've found them to have less taste and when it comes to my body I'm a plastiphobe.

The lower compartment has enough room to throw in a very lightweight top, just barely. And the upper compartment

is good for a bar and car keys/phone. I've worn the pack during a few Nordic races and the hose did not freeze.

Very high quality materials and construction. I've had excellent customer service from Camelbak with my other

products from them.
