Perfect size for kiddos. My 9,6 and 3 year olds all fight to wear it on the hike. It does not keep water as cold as the adult packs with the silver lining and the condensation does wick through to their clothes. However, it dries really fast and mud cleans off quite easily. Big bite valve with the shut off is still the best and I have used 4 other brands. In fact I have retrofitted my other baldders with the camelbak big bite.

Perfect size for our 5 year old and he enjoys looking like mom and dad. It would be nice if it had a strap across the top (between the two shoulder straps) to help it stay on better, but otherwise a good product.

Got both my kids (5 and 7 years old) one of these as a gift last year. They love having them while riding their bikes on the local greenway while I run. So much better (and safer!) than having to reach for a water bottle or having mom and dad carry extra. Just bought one for their 6 year old friend who was admiring my kids' Camelbaks. Can't wait to give it to her for her birthday. Kids love to drink out of these things too. Wish it had a tiny zip pocket for a snack, but we just stuff a granola bar in the main part of the pack that holds the bladder. If they wanna carry more than just water, get the kid's Camelbak M.U.L.E. Camelbak consistently makes great products. I also suggest shortening the tube by cutting and reinserting the bite valve...for smaller kids anyway.
