Printed Score of Camelot by Lerner and Loewe,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Camelot (Score) (Paperback)
What I bought was a piano/vocal score of Camelot, the Broadway show by Lerner and Loewe. Amazon keeps listing this as Camelot by Richard Harris. Richard Harris had nothing to do with the writing of this show. He was only an actor who did a rather poor rendition of the role of King Arthur in the Broadway revival and the Hollywood movie version. I was happy with what I bought but because of the mis-information on the web site, I was not sure until I received it that it was indeed what I wanted to purchase. Please correct your information.

The (almost) original Broadway score,
This review is from: Camelot (Score) (Paperback)
I purchased my copy in preparations for an upcoming local production. I am absolutely overjoyed that this, like so many other classic Broadway shows recently, have become available for personal libraries. Only one word of warning to musical theatre enthusiasts familiar with the original Broadway cast soundtrack (or the movie) but not the licensed vocal score: after the initial run opening on Broadway, the songs "Then You Make Take Me to the Fair" and "Fie On Goodness" were CUT. As such, this edition of the score, though hinting at the placement of those songs in incidental form, lacks those two numbers. Even the rights distributor (Tams-Whitmark) requires requests to include those two now-considered "extra numbers" in performance. No complaints, mind you; just a friendly insider's word. : ) Still, a wonderful purchase!

I think this is a collectors item. It is the original book with the original price on it. Excellent condition. The pages are a little yellow and has a old age smell (like it has been sitting in a basement or garage). Well I'm glad I have it because I like everything Camelot. All the best songs are in the book even though I haven't started playing them yet. Just glad to have it in my library.

Camelot Rocks!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Camelot (Score) (Paperback)
Camelot is a very good play. The music is exceptional, and it has superb lyrics. Based on "The Once and Future King," it contains the meaning portrayed in the book, but is also humorous and enjoyable. If I could I'd give it 1000 stars!
