This eyepiece does not fit well on the Canon xsi. It goes, but you have to force it. Buy something else for this camera.

Bought this eyepiece because the original round eyecup got in the way of opening up the camera back for any reason. This eyepiece allows for easier opening and closing of the camera back.

I lost the little rubber part from my camera. I could not find only the new rubber for the eyecup, so I decided to buy the whole new eyecup and this one fits perfect to my Canon DSLR.

The eyepiece of my Rebel XTi fell off while using a BlackRapid strap as the camera body brushed against my hip. The OEM Canon part is a ripoff; this third-party part is well worth the cost savings. The clip which holds this part to the camera body feels stronger than the original Canon part. It's held up against the same brushing on my hip without a problem. The rubber surround is not as soft as the Canon part, but is still comfortable, durable, and slightly larger (without affecting optics). There is no plastic/glass lens to change the magnification of the viewfinder--don't let other reviews fool you--this is simply a replacement for the original eyepiece, NOT an extender.

Very nice addition to your canon, to keep skin oil smudges off the LCD Screen.As recommended remove the inside glass lens on the eyepiece so that the viewfinder remains the same size.
