These "67mm-86mm" filter wrenches for $11.95 are absolutely identical to a set of 62mm-77mm wrenches I just bought from B&H for $5.95. Clearly made from the same molds.

This is dishonest advertising by Camera Hunter.

The wrench is really too small even for 77mm, but obviously not adequate for 86mm.
Further dishonesty: even on Camera Hunter's own web site, they list this wrench as 67-82mm, not 67-86 as they list it on Amazon.

I have never reported badly on anything, but it is essential here. these a super flimsy plastic, and these do not have even close to the stiffness necessary to separate stuck metal filters from anything. they bend a flex as soon as any pressure is applied. So OK, you "got me" another pile of plastic for the recycle bin. Don't add them to yours.

Used on a stuck 82mm thin polarizer. At first I made no progress, but then I supplemented the wrench with a rubber band around the filter threads, and Presto, it broke free. It is an expensive item, but a necessary one for the serious photographer. I highly recommend it.

I should have listened to other reviewers. These 'wrenches' are extremely thin, and did not provide sufficient grip or torque to separate my two filters. I ended up doing so with a pair of household rubber gloves. Try that first!

What can I say? This is a very simple product with very simple requirements. I had two filters stuck together, and this pair of wrenches unstuck them. Nothing broke, nothing was scratched. I'm happy.

I had a circular polarizer screwed into a UV filter on a lens, and on a trip the front end of the lens took an impact which pushed the polarizer threads out of alignment with the filter, effectively lodging the two together.

No amount of turning by hand could separate them. The effect was to make a $110 polarizer and a $80 filter a lot less useful.

I got these wrenches, and they seem a bit flimsy, but after 3 or 4 tries, they separated perfectly. Very useful (for specific needs like mine)

Years ago if filters got jammed together I always had a dozen or so rubber bands in my kit to remove stuck filters. Today I have these because of my arthritis. So inexpensive, so easy to use.

Light, simple, and completely solves the "can't twist the filter off the lens" problem. I have a slimline 77mm CP filter that had a nasty habit of being difficult to remove from my lenses. I tried to compensate for this by not installing it too tightly, but then it would occasionally come loose with use -- and I came close to having it fall off a couple of times. These filter wrenches now allow me to twist it on as tightly as I want with my hand,

Pros:

1. Really easy to use and effective.
2. Give me the confidence to tighten my polarizer without fear of not being able to remove it
3. Very gentle on the filter, since it is applying even pressure around the whole circumference of the filter. I never really have to squeeze very hard to get even the most stubborn filter off.
4. Very light and unobtrusive. I keep one in my camera bag at all times,

Cons:

1. They seem a bit overpriced as they are just flexible single pieces of plastic. However, what they do for me is well worth the price.
