I love this device! It works great on low heat and I've smoked tofu, bean curd, golden chanterelles, lots of other veggies & mushrooms. I can't recommend it more highly. be sure to capture the juice that goes into the tray - freeze it and add it to other dishes - it's like veggie stock with liquid smoke.

I bought several of these years ago under the name Rocket Smoker. They are extremely well designed, well made and effective.

You can smoke a pound slab of Salmon in 20 minutes with little to no smoke escaping. It's cooked and smoked. I use two Sterno cans for portability. Perfect for camping, at the beach, RVing, etc.

I've not used the pellets yet,but use Alder wood for the fish. Incredible. I would imagine the pellets work as well as smoking wood.

I'm real tempted to get the bigger unit...not that I need it, I just want it. The smaller size does a pound slab of Salmon, feeding 2 people (unless you can get that second person out of the room).

I highly recommend this product as one well designed item that does what it says it does and does it better than most.
