Bought this smoker 2 years ago, and I was excited - taking it easily to gatherings and unpacking and smoking about anything.

I received it and tested it. It did come together really easily, and I plugged it in and started smoking. i put 2 medium racks of ribs in the smoker, not even 12 pounds on the smoker. The temperature never went above 155F - And this was on a 80F day!

I contacted Cameron's and they said it was a cold smoker (in all the advertising, it NEVER says that.)and the teperature is only supposed to get to 180F. They couldn't understand why it didn't get to 180F, so they sent me a new heating element. They never would answer how someone is supposed to fit 45 pounds of anything in the smoker - you might be able to fit 20 pounds, but the heating element couldn't handle 12 pounds. Call them and ask...

Again, I tried it. The temperature did not get anywhere near 180F.

It will not cook anythng and the small bowl for wood means you don't get a very smoked flavor before throwing your meal into the oven to cook. Save your money and spend more and get a useful smoker.

The quality of this product exceeded my expectations. It is built well & works well. The convenience of being able to fold it up & store it when not in use is a big plus. Well worth the price. I am very pleased with it.

I added this smoker to our gear for a trip back to Flaming Gorge for Kokanee Salmon. It now has a permanent spot in our Alaskan camper for ALL of our fishing trips. I also picked up the thermal blanket and carrying bag to complete the set. I would highly recommend it for fishing trips....it charges the campsite with the smell of freshly smoked fish. Get ready for the line outside your RV....LOL

I used it once and threw it away. Great little smoker. I used it to smoke, and then later as a warming or holding oven to keep the food warm. It worked great but the door is cumbersome for guests to figure out use. So, I decided I was better off investing in more chafers. Since I was not going to use if for the intended purpose, a warming stating for parties...and not primarily as a smoker. And since it did that function very well, but a chafer would do it better...I got ride of it.

The worst item I have ever purchased. It would not get hot, just warm. Junk
