I've LOVED Camilla Gryski's String Games books for years. I discovered them as a Girl Scout Leader. They are great for cross cultural activities, or games. They are great way to keep girls interested when waiting for a ride. You only need a loop of string to play. I've trained adults from her materials. They in turn have used them for day camp and passed them on to many other girls. I love the illustrations. They are clear, easy to follow. They are among the clearest and easiest to follow of the numerous books I have collected over the years on string figures. The classic book by Jane has many more figures but the illustrations and discriptions are not for the faint of heart. All of Gryski's books Camilla Gryski's Cat's Cradle: A Book of String GamesCat's Cradle, Owl's Eyes: A Book of String Games(Another is "Super String Games" but that maybe out of print.)have been clear and wonderful. I highly recommend them.
