This AWESOME product is a great new addition to a home emergency preparedness plan, or for your wall tent, or any other place you need to keep warm, with safety in mind.

This thing is SOLID . I was amazed, by the quality of the workmanship, welding ,and thickness of the metal.

Package comes with 10 feet of stovepipe with pre drilled damper, and spark arrestor .

I have the optional, 3 gallon, 20 gage , stainless steel water tank, for cooking or drinking water, with brass spigot, that fits on the side, of the stove.

The stovetop great for cooking, or to put a cast iron teapot on, for a humidifier.

Racks are removable, and will work to dry out clothing, or warm up, a pair of gloves.

It all fits inside the stove, for easy handling. Steel bottom grate, for the stove, will make it easy to clean out ashes, and protect the bottom, of the stove.
The door and latch are nice, and it has a nice damper system, to adjust the burn to keep it going all night.

Time will only tell, what a great product, this really is.

Fishgriller Approved.

Used this stove in our new 12 X 14 wall tent at a Black Powder Rendezvous. Use to have a tipi with an open fire pit. We weren't as toasty as we were in the tipi, and the fire didn't last as long before having to add more wood. However the tipi does have a double wall of canvas and we can put alot more wood on the fire at one time. We also had constant windy conditions and we never camped before when it was 29 degrees at night. We took a clock with us that shows the temperature in the room. The temperature went up to around 65 degrees to 68 in a short time and that was in the corner the furthest away from stove. In the daytime when it was warmer outside the temperature inside the tent reached 75 degrees. The first night we had to put wood on every hour. By the third night we got at least two hours of sleep before having to add more wood. The last night we got close to three hours. Still learning the combination of wood size, adjusting the damper and the airflow intake. We burned some pine the first night, do not recommend. Stick to hardwoods. We did not use the stovepipe that came with the stove since we preferred a sidewall opening, I had to buy pipes and elbows. We had a custom forged iron pipe holder that holds up very well in windy conditions. We also went with a rain cap that has a spark arrestor. We did have to clean that out after 3 days. We also got the water tank. In addition we put a pot of water partially on the stove and most of the pot sat on the side shelf. Loved having plenty of hot water in the morning, and I did not have a sooty pot to clean later. Liked that this stove has a grate for the bottom. My friend has another brand cylinder stove that she paid close to $400 for, she didn't get a grate included with hers. She's now looking into buying a grate for hers.Read more ›

I am not sure why some reviewers liked quality of this product. First of all, who design a wood stove to have a flue colar facing inward? Smoke keeps coming through those chimney gaps quite a bit. Secondary, my particular item arrived with top flat plate being welded all the way through at one side only! Another side had this plate welded at only four small spots. As a result of it, I had a smoke coming not only from a flue colar to chimney gaps, but from under top plate as well. This product is a real health hazard. It should be removed from Amazon shelfs unless they want to deal with legal issues down the road.

P.S. If you are a handy man who can oparate a welder or have an easy access to metal works shop - you can get all of the above issues easily fixed. This is exactly what I've done and this is why I am still giving this item two stars instead of one.

I use it in a canvas tent during elk season in Oregon. most of the time it is around the low 20's and this stove will heat a 16x16 old army tent very well. You will need to stoke the fire in the night since it won't take enough wood to last the night. Great little stove.

This little stove heats up my garage (16'x24') from 30 degrees up to 80 in about 2 hours time. Built very durable and the only thing that i didn't like was that when it showed up the latch that holds the door shut was snapped off due to shipping. Easy fix with a bolt, couple of nuts and some washers. Sure beat sending it back. It is a heavy duty stove not something cheaply built

Love the warming racks for the sides. My little ones always have wet gloves and socks - will dry them out pretty good. Seems pretty sturdy. I do have 2 complaints - It would be nice if there was some sort of gasket on the front door. When it arrived at my house the package looked like it had went through a nuclear blast, it was crushed and the metal from the stove was sticking out of numerous holes in the box - it should have better packaging.

Worked great in our 14x14 tent. We bought a oil change tray to protect the floor of the tent. As the instructions dictate, you want to burn some wood in this outside of the tent for 2 hours to burn off the manufacturing oil & cure the paint. Make sure to bring some insulated leather gloves & sheet metal screws to secure the pipe as well. I have to take measurements, but I think the chimney starts out at 4" at the stove outlet and ends at 5" (nested chimney pipe). It was a tight fit in the roof jack of our tent & wind made the pipe disconnect (we hadn't screwed the pipe together yet). The stove worked well.
