Book Description

Can Nancy catch the prankster, or will the campers call it quits?

It's summer vacation and Nancy, George, and Bess have signed up for a two-week-long nature day camp on the outskirts of River Heights. The girls can't wait to get out and enjoy nature, and are thrilled to be spending their days making butterfly feeders, planting sunflowers, and taking hikes.

But things at Camp Northwoods start going haywire right from the start. The projects the campers work so hard on during the day keep getting ruined at night! Nancy is suspicious -- these don't look like natural disasters. Just who is wrecking all of the campers' hard work? And can camp continue with a culprit on the loose?

More About the Author

Carolyn Keene and Franklin W. Dixon are the pseudonyms under which many ghostwriters penned the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys series, respectively. Both series were created by Edward Stratemeyer, founder of the Stratemeyer Syndicate book packaging firm, in the late 1920s and early 1930s.

Stratemeyer's daughter, Harriet, and syndicate writer Mildred Wirt Benson were the two people primarily responsible for bringing the iconic character of Nancy Drew to life in the minds and hearts of millions of readers around the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Who could be the creepy camper?, January 17, 2008
By
This review is from: The Day Camp Disaster (Nancy Drew Notebooks #55) (Paperback)
Nancy, Bess and George are off to a new adventure! This time, they are having fun at a day camp in River Heights.

It sounds like a perfect two weeks, learning about nature and building projects every day. But, somebody doesn't want the fun to go on and the camp might have to close.

Who could be wrecking all the campers' projects? Does somebody want the camp to fail? It's going to take an lot of detective work to save summer!

Nancy, Bess, and George go to a day camp. They created butterfly feeders, planted sunflowers, and did many other things. Overnight, somebody wrecked their creations. This happened three nights in a row. After the third night, the owner who ran the day camp said they will have to close for rest of week if it happened again that night. Can Nancy find out who the person is that is messing up the creations in time? Read the book to find out!
