5.0 out of 5 stars A must have, April 28, 2003

This CD is amazing. It's quite possibly my favorite pre-cky material. A must have for any cky fan out there. The drums and guitars are exquisite. The vocals are harder than many of the cky songs but the cky sound is definitely recognized. I am very pleased with this cd.

5.0 out of 5 stars Foreign Objects' Glory Days, December 1, 2003

Foreign Objects is a pre-CKY band consisting of Deron Miller and Jess Margera. This album is much different than anything CKY has done but it still has a hint of the CKY sound to it considering it is 50% of CKY. Foreign Objects has fast paced and technical guitar riffs, killer drums, and hard hitting vocals. The album only has 5 songs but they are recorded well for where they were recorded and the songs flow well together. It is a great album to own and was just a hint as to what Jess and Deron were capable of. They went on to make incredible album's with CKY but nothing like their days in Foreign Objects. The Re-release of this album will also be out in early 2004 with 10 original songs for all those who think this one is too short. Look forward to the re-release but I suggest buying the original if you can find it. It is one of my favorite cds that I own and highly recommend it to any music fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars unbelievable math rock, January 21, 2002

This review is from: Camp Kill Yourself (Audio CD)
i bought this cd after watching the CKY documentary and man i cant believe how crazy it is. i didnt know deron and jess (the guitar player and drummer of CKY respectively) were capable of making such busy and heavy music! especially being so young! jess was only 16 years old and deron was 18. nevertheless they play flawlessly, and punched me right in the face with this. if you like bands like dillinger escape plan, carcass, death, nile or cradle of filth (like i do) you need to give this one a try because it is really really spot-on. tracks 1,3 and 5 are the best.

4.0 out of 5 stars The rediscovered F.O. (a hidden treasure), January 7, 2002

Of course if yer checking this out, most likely you are a CKY fan. this is deron and jess's band pre CKY, and the style is much more basic production wise. this CD is not only a good addition to any CKY fans collection, but also a near excellent document of technical proficency of instrumentation, a great sense of arrangement, and ... effin' heavy. both deron and jess play flawlessly, and almost make the bludgening, yet transcendant riffs sound effortless. you could say this is more of a proggresive death or speed metal album, except for the fact that the songs are put together so well that they seem to almost intentionally invert the listener, and turn him/her on their [bottom]. the only thing that makes this album less then perfect are the slightly less then stellar production, and the fact that it leaves you wanting to hear more songs in the same vein. i highly recommend this disc if your into death metal, or old school metallica/slayer. this may be the only time yer gonna get to here deron solo!

5.0 out of 5 stars To Bad there is Only five stars allowed, November 9, 2003
This review is from: Camp Kill Yourself (Audio CD)
Its a shame i could only give this masterpiece 5 stars because really it deserves at least 10. Straight outta the basement of Jess and Bam Margera comes Jess and Derons first cd release which is by far the best cd out there besides any CKY cd. I have been a die hard fan of CKY ever since i heard QBB on CKY and since then i have listened to CKY every day. What makes this album so amazing is that it was done all on a four track and completley by the band themselves. I would give my life to have lived in west chester years ago to see FO play far cry behind at East Goshen Park or the CKY crew highskool. If you love CKY and dunt have this album your f____in crazy get it now. FORCE CHANGE

5.0 out of 5 stars damn good cd, February 21, 2002

i bought the foreign objects cd because i love cky. the two bands are basically the same with the addition of chad ginsburg on guitar for cky. while sometimes a little more choppy than cky, foreign objects still has the same energy, and i actually like some elements of their music more than cky (the bass for example is better). the other side of the end of the universe and destination undefined are both great tracks. im just sad that the cd is as short as it is. thats really the only downside. do yourself and your cd collection a favor and buy foreign objects. its definitely worth it.

Having been a long time CKy fan, i also got into there projects from before they actually were CKY. There is no real way to describe this cd other then one word, amazing. The combination of Deron's amazing riffs and Jess's smooth and heavy complex drumming makes a perfect blend into an undescribable genre of music. This cd is a must have.

5.0 out of 5 stars An UNDISCOVERED treasure from who is now CKY..., January 14, 2002

Before CKY was CKY, there was Foreign Objects, the two man piece consisting of Deron Miller and Jess Margera. This death metal/hard rock EP is an album alot of people cruise over because of it's lack of exposure. This album is terrific, and for any CKY fans out there, you must have the early works of the masters.

This EP is great from Jess and Deron. They explore other musical styles than in Cky but still as good. This was before cKy and any cKy with an open mind should definately enjoy this work of art.

NU metal sucks !!
