My Dad is 91. He was at Camp Roberts in 1943-44. He wrote his mother twice a week and she kept those letters. I have recently started reading those letters to him. This book helped me visualize the setting and understand the history.

This book is a must have for anyone having any contact with Camp Roberts. I hope part of the base is put on the national historic trust because after being there and reading this book, there is a way to touch the past and keep our history alive.
