Book Description

In 2008, over $5 billion was spent on federal office campaigns combined. President Obama's election team sent one billion emails to some 13 million addresses; the social networking site Facebook played a part in spreading the get-out-the-vote message. Political campaigning continues to reinvent itself at a furious pace and in fascinating ways.

I love this book. It paints the policy craft from a theoretical angle focusing on what did/didn't work in the past and how some of those decisions are still relevant today. I recently obtained a campaign management position for a Circuit Ct. Judge after working in the Michigan Legislature and could not put this book down. Anyone seriously considering campaign management as a profession, would be best prepared by reading this book.

Arrived in great condition, yet to read it. But looking foward to doing so. A flip through the pages scanning has been rewarding.
