I bought all three volumes of this series on the Vicksburg campaign. It covers the failed overland campaign to take Vicksburg.Then goes to the river campaign. It covers both sides of the river in taking Vicksburg. The battle descriptions are excellent.Edwin C. Bearess worked at the Vicksburg National Battlefield Park so he knows the park and all the points to cover in the campaign. I wouldn't have another book outside of these three volumes.
