Bought this as a replacement for my 60 gallon upright Husky air compresser when mine took a dump. Was even better than the original as this one has an adjusting screw for pressure switch and the old did not.

When I received this switch it seems someone had gone through the package and pulled the parts they needed. Or, maybe it had been returned before? It was missing the wiring clamp and screw (which is proprietary to this device), the ground screws, the port plugs, and two of the tabs to attach the Line wires. After working around those issues, I turned the compressor on and found I needed to decrease the cut-in/cut-off a little so I turned the screw one half turn. That was all that was touched. After re-installing the cover the red on/off knob was no longer spring loaded! During the installation of the pressure switch, the cover had been removed and re-installed multiple times and always worked fine afterward. When installing the cover, the knob must be placed in the Auto position as I had done before but, for some reason now it doesn't work at all! The spring appears to be located in the body of the switch and is not easily accessible.

Also, the knob is normally spring loaded to move it toward Auto/On by default and a plastic catch in the cover holds it in the Off position. When that plastic catch wear's down, it will tend to turn it on by itself. Isn't that backwards? As a safety precaution, it seems it would be better to have the spring move it toward the off position by default and the plastic catch hold it in the Auto/On position. This way, if or when it fails it will go to the off position.

Worked perfectly, and fit just as well. There are no gimmicks here, just a perfect replacement switch. Thanks, Mister Twister.

The holes for the neutral were not tapped so the wires could not be connected. Also didn't have the bolts to do so if it was tapped. Missing a part to hold the wires coming from the motor into the switch. Had to take that off the old broken switch.

Now that it has been modified to the correct specs (by me) it works as advertised. I would not buy CH parts without seeing them and inspecting in person ever. Cheap Chinese made junk.
