I've read better...,

but I've read worse too. That's why this effort from Sarrantonio receives no more than 3 stars from me. The plot lacks consistency and character development is very weak. (Possibly because the author only used 180 pages to tell his story.) For a good book, albeit rather weird one from Sarrantonio, try "Skeletons". If you like Richard Laymon you'll feel right at home.
