Overall applies to all the soups: The chicken (in the flavors that have chicken) is brown, but it is a more natural chicken texture than what you find in other canned soups (the suspicious cubes with lots of fatty parts) and it's shredded so I had no problems eating it, though I give chicken from most canned soups to the cats. It's easy to heat in the pouch, and the pouch is labeled where to pick it up after heating (2 minutes in the microwave), so it's not hot to touch. But the overall taste is something I'd expect from a restaurant, not from a canned (or bagged) soup. Except for some lobster bisque and shrimp & corn chowder I got at Aldis several years ago I've never NOT been disappointed by a pre-packaged soup. This was surprisingly good, it tasted like the real thing rather than the "I have to settle for a crappy version for the sake of convenience" kind of thing. Now I want to try all the flavors, though the soup is pretty pricey. About 40 percent more than canned soups. But it's worth it for an occasional treat. Or if you have more money than I do and don't have to worry about that part as much.

Flavors in order of goodness (all personal preference):

MOROCCAN STYLE CHICKEN WITH CHICKPEAS: I'm not familiar with Moroccan food, so I don't know how authentic it is. But the soup is the one so far that is almost as chunky as the photo on the pouch. It is quite spicy, but also very very sweet. I could smell the "sweet" as soon as I opened the bag. The chicken is the same as in the other soups, there are several whole chickpeas and lots of tomato pieces.

CREAMY RED PEPPER WITH SMOKED GOUDA: I don't like tomato soup. But I wanted to try all the Go Soup flavors, and I got this one too. It was super. The soup is mostly liquid with a few tomato chunks in it.

These make great meals on the go, though a bowl is advised could probably eat w/out. Fit well in my bag, no worries about leaking or anything.

Flavor wise, I adored the spicy chorizo and pulled chicken when I got a free sample, and decided to try the others, but found them not to be to my taste, though I could see others liking them.

average 350-420 calories / BAG - 2 servings / bag, so don't get excited when you look @ nutrition facts like I did (210 calories! awesome... wait...)

As the previous poster described - I was shopping at Wal-Mart and noticed these pouches in the soup aisle. The first I tried was the Golden Lentil with Madras Curry. I too am a sucker for good curry. I tried it today and OMG it is freaking delicious. Campbell's GO Soups will be SOLID in my lunch rotation.

Did I really just read Campbell's soup reviews on Amazon? Yes. And you are too. I did it because I was dissatisfied with their madras curry lentil soup, or should I say "sodium broth." This soup made me think more about sodium in one hour than I have throughout the entirety of my life.

Seriously, food doesn't have to be THAT good for me to eat it. I'm like your Depression-era grandpa. Or great-grandpa, those folks are getting old. I'm practical and penny-wise. I abhor waste. I like to try new things, but I almost always finish them even if they're not so great. I think about the difficulties other people have in procuring nourishment and just feel glad I have something in front of me. When I eat out, I usually finish everything on my plate or take it home in a doggie bag. There's no dog waiting at home, just me and my next-day appetite. If I can't deal with a food I've allowed into my life, I try to pawn it off on my innocent friends and coworkers before throwing it out. My sister sometimes takes my castaways to feed her aging pet rats. "Don't take food from Kati, it's... weird."

Now, don't go thinking I have underdeveloped taste buds. These babies are in full bloom! My face has been seen at innovative, farm-to-plate eateries and obscure ethnic venues. I've stood in line at food truck festivals. My coworkers know me as the one who gets Godiva all the time and goes to apple orchards and eats "those hippie Amy's meals." My friends tend to be obsessive foodies who make me fancy stuff at our silly little potlucks. I'm the one who brings a bottle of wine, because I prefer heating up food from a bag. This woman's place is not the kitchen. It's the dining room.

Thus, I was really excited to try this soup.

I'm always a sucker for soup. My favorites are Asian inspired flavors, which are usually under-represented in any grocer's soup aisle. I was excited to try these new Campbell's varieties. After nuking it in the micro, I was optimistic based on the curry smell. However, as I choke it down at my desk right now - I am not enjoying this. In every bite lingers an unnatural aftertaste of perfume, or like some others mentioned - soap. Will not buy again. Two stars for crunchy bamboo shoots and mushrooms.

On another note - the price on Amazon is hilarious considering this seems to be for only one pouch which should cost under $3.
