It's OK, but a little bland for my taste, and a little too salty.

I lightly browned a pound of boneless chicken breasts in a bit of olive oil, then I added this Campbell's Toasted Sesame with Garlic and Ginger Skillet Sauce.

I don't think I would want it all the time but this makes for an easy and tasty occasional quick meal.

I have been trying new products every time I see them on the shelf. So far I have tried three out of the five varieties they come in and I have the others to try soon. The reviews on this product are very negative and not very accurate in my opinion. The pouches are only the sauce and you can choose what type of meat to add which in my opinion is great because I hate when meat is included because it tastes like dog food. Many of the pouches call for chicken but it actually tastes better if you use pork loin which is very similar to chicken except that it is not as dry and doesnt absorb all the flavor of the sauce. The marsala one actually tastes better with beef it adds to the flavor tremendously. The quality is above expected for the price. I enjoy them and it costs less than it would to get the ingredients and make your own but a good rule of thumb is to salt and pepper to taste.

Sometimes you just want to throw a little protein in a pan along with some vegetables, cook it, and then finish it off with a sauce that actually tastes like something. I hesitated to try Campbell's Skillet Sauces because most of the prepared sauces on the market taste mostly like salt and I figured these would follow suit. At this point I have tried all the flavors other than the scampi, and I am very impressed. Every one so far--Creamy Chipotle, Marsala, Toasted Sesame, Thai Green Curry, and Fire Roasted Tomato--has been excellent in terms of taste, texture, cook-ability, and sodium levels. Granted, they all have more ingredients than I would use were I creating these sauces from scratch, but the folks at Campbell's have managed to make these Skillet Sauces taste fresh and--dare I say it?--almost as good as homemade.

In terms of flavor and convenience, these Skillet Sauces are as good as anything I've tried (and a few of the varieties top the sauces used at some of the ethnic restaurants in my neighborhood). Good stuff!

I recently tried this product for dinner. I lightly browned a pound of boneless chicken breasts in a bit of olive oil, then I added this Campbell's Toasted Sesame with Garlic and Ginger Skillet Sauce. As per the instructions, I simmered it until the chicken was done. I made rice and steamed broccoli to have on the side. I would rate the taste of the sauce as average. I was expecting it to have more of a pronounced flavor than what it does. The chicken was good, but not exceptional. Given the price of these pouches, I do not think I would purchase them in the future. There are many jarred sauces available in the Asian section of the grocery store that I enjoy much more than this one.

I didn't like the taste of this. Very generic which was surprising since it is made by Campbell's. It has an odd sort of old smell to it, kind of like old mushrooms that are about ready to be thrown out. I couldn't really taste the garlic at all and I didn't like the mushrooms in it. The sauce itself just tasted like a brown gravy powder mix.

anybody who knows real chicken marsala won't even recognize it here. it is horrible. I wish I could give it 0 stars. chicken marsala is easy to make. you don't need this fake crap which tastes nothing like the real thing.

I saw the tv commercial for this campbells shrimp scampi sauce and it sounded good. I was really excited to see this on amazon and have the chance to order this as my local store does not carry this product. So i ordered a box of them as i figured it should be good.

To my big disappointment, i hated the taste and after using the first pack, and i ended up tossing out the remaining packs into the trash can (as shrimp is not cheep and using good shrimp on this awful tasting sauce would be a total waste).

My opinion only, if you like shrimp scampi, save your money on this sauce and make your own homemade, as anything you make would be a great improvement over this product.

Sorry campbell's, i was hoping and expecting a lot better, sadly disappointed!

I have tried two of these. The scampi and the toasted sesame. Not impressed at all. Here's why: the package says serving for two and then some. Not true. There are two adult men in our home. One package with rice or pasta would not feed both of us. By using two packages we barely got enough. Flavor: non existent or bad. The toasted sesame had no flavor to it. I added ginger, garlic, snap peas and canned pineapple. With these additions the toasted sesame was edible. The sauce is not only bland, it's not thick enough to call sauce. Even after cooking, the sauce doesn't thicken up to the right consistency. The scampi was worse. There was a flavor to the sauce. It was an unpleasant almost fake/canned muted flavor. The sauce was again thin and watery even after simmering. I put a lot of parmesan cheese on the scampi to make it edible. The only pro I can say is that this stuff is quick. Less than ten minutes to make. It takes longer to make the rice or pasta. Don't bother with this stuff, it won't be around long.

Defrosted and cubed maybe two pounds of chicken (if that), added some broccoli and onions and this sauce packet, and it was not very good. It was extremely bland. Didn't taste any sesame, garlic or ginger. I might as well have put nothing in the pan at all. You can buy sauces (sweet and sour, sesame, General Tso, etc.) in the ethnic aisle at the grocery store that blow this out of the water.
