These are great shoes, simply great. For everyday wear they last a long time, I venture up to 3-4 years, really depending on what your everyday entails of course. The style simply cannot be beat, simplicity at it's very finest.
Shoe sizing here and at the Camper site seems a bit off. Both pairs I have owned (indeed wearing my almost dead pair as I write) were Eur. 45, which fit me perfectly. All of my other shoes, from Red Wing Lace up and Pull on to sandals to sneakers are US 11 which is a Eur 44 according to the sizing charts.

I discovered Camper Pelotas 8 years ago and they are the only shoe I like to wear now. I probably have 6 pair that I bought off eBay, all in very good condition. They didn't sell these on Amazon when I first got into them, so we were glad to see that they are now available. They are very comfortable and very durable. I sometimes call them my airplane shoe, because when I fly (and I fly a lot), these shoes are so comfortable. They also slip on and off very easily, which I like when I am clearing the TSA scanners. My favorite brown pair finally gave out after 7 years. I'm in the Army, so I wear boots every day, but every weekend, every time we go anywhere, and for most of 3 years that I spent getting an advanced degree I would wear my Pelotas. The shoe strings were the first to go, but after many miles and continents, the "bubbles" on the bottom finally wore thin. For this particular model, you should know that the size chart might not be entirely accurate if you have wide feet. I normally wear size 12 4E in running shoes or 13 wide in boots and dress/walking shoes. My wife bought me a pair for my birthday last month and they were size 46 and were too tight on my feet. My old pair are size 47 and fit perfectly, but I guess size 47 weren't in stock in brown (or apparently: Krypton Kenia) when she ordered, so she went with the 46, which says it fits size 13. I just looked any my New Balance Men's MR1012 Nbx Motion Control Running Shoe that are size 12 4E are listed as 46.5 in EU sizing. So, we are going to have to send them back and find another pair that are size 47. So, if you have wide feet, realize the sizing might be off. Otherwise, once you get a pair of these shoes, I hope you love them as much as I do.

I have 3 pairs of Campers similar to these but the higher ankle models with laces almost all the way down to the toes and have had them for, 2 pairs x 12 yrs & 1 pair x 7yrs they are all worn down the the leather lining so that's why i got a pair of these for winter use. I can't use them as they are too tight even if i remove the inner soul, the fact that these only have half the number of lace holes, i can't open them up for my wide feet. I'll sell them to some lucky person here and order another model. So anyone who has wide feet get a size or two larger or go for any of the models with laces all the way down. These are really nice and comfortable from day one and last for years.

I discovered this brand about 10 years ago in Europe and have been wearing them ever since. I'm now on my 5th or 6th pair and they're always more or less the same -- which is a good thing. The shoes are always supremely comfortable (at least to my feet), are stylish and are simply built like tanks. I routinely get about 2 years of everyday use out of each pair. And by "everyday" I mean literally everyday, since I work at home and am thus not obligated to wear anything else during the week.
Other than the XL line, which stands for Extra Light and may not be quite as bulletproof (I haven't tried them), only the styles vary among the Pelotas. So I strongly suggest keeping an eye on sales and snapping up a pair when the price is low. As Amazon seems to constantly have several styles on sale/clearance.

This is my fourth pair of Campers. For everyday use, I simply refuse to wear anything else. They are more comfortable than my Cole Haans, and better-looking (for my acquired taste) than any other casual shoe I own. Absolutely the best shoes available for the price.

This is my first Camper Pelotas and I am extremely happy with this purchase. This is a light pair of shoes and the texture of the leather is perfect. Will buy the dark brown color once I have the money.

these shoes have the softest leather that instantly feels like a well worn pair of the most comfortable DMs. Camper do the coolest colours, too.
