There is so much wrong with this tent that I hardly know where to begin!
1. The material is sub-par. Stuff that will tear and break at the drop of a hat, and couldn't possibly stand up to any real play. It is so thin that it is actually see through, and will tear easily. The instructions say that it is NOT MACHINE WASHABLE! Who wants a kid's tent that you will be unable to clean???
2. The design is poorly thought out. Forget those affordable, easy pop up kid's tents that only require a flick of the wrist to be play ready, and will collapse flat for easy storage when not in use. THIS TENT REQUIRES THREE ADULTS WITH A PHD AND SUPERHUMAN STRENGTH TO SET IT UP! And if you are lucky enought to set it up without damaging it, you will be stuck with a huge, clumsey item that takes up way too much space. You will fear taking it down to store it when not in use, because the dread of having to set it up again will be overwhelming. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! THIS TENT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT USER FRIENDLY. The tent pole supports are too long for the structure of the tent material, making it impossible to assemble without damaging the poles. And if the poles are damaged, the whole tent is useless. What is wrong with this picture???
3. The interior play area is clumsey and too small. Imagine a toy that is so big on the outside that you have no room left in your house, but is so narrow in the inside that a child will barely fit in it.Read more ›
UPDATE - I mentioned earlier that I also bought this tent in a different design (the one that is blue and has wolves and such on it - more of a wilderness design). I have taken down and put up that tent about 5 times now without any issue. It's not easy to do, but it's not impossible. For whatever reason there is a design flaw SPECIFIC to the log cabin style tent! It is IMPOSSIBLE to assemble this tent without the poles breaking. DO NOT buy this tent. Hopefully the manufacturer will see these reviews and complaints and fix the problem. The other tents by this company, while not great quality, will actually work as advertised. This one will NOT

This is a fun product for indoors. It is a little light weight and moves around a little too easy when kids are playing in it. But still a really cute idea.Published on November 3, 2012 by D'Ann Preston
