I ordered this book after reading the reviews good and not so good. The reason I wanted this book is because I have been researching state parks,in which to camp. I have found it difficult to filter through all the information on the internet as to which state parks have campgrounds. This book shows a map of each state and where the state parks with campgrounds are located. It gives a rudimentory description of what the campground has to offer. It however does not give a description of the park its self. Once I have found a park of interest I can search the internet for more information on the state park of interest.

We prefer taking our RV to state parks and COE parks and this book will speed the process of figuring out where the next closest state park is for us. We don't make advanced reservations while traveling, preferring to just take our chances. It's nice to have the information for each park in an easy to locate form.

I bought this book before a 1500 mile RV journey and it was invaluable. There are thousands of state parks out there but only a small percentage have RV facilities. When we were deciding on a place to spend the night, opening the book to the state and seeing of there was a state park nearby was way easier than pulling out the ipad, clicking on a likely park, and then look through the website to find out there were no RV facilities. Then click on the next park and so on. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is the maps should be bigger, and I also wish the National Parks were included to make it one stop shopping. But still, this is a book I am very glad I bought.

This is a reasonably complete listing of State Parks, but adds little in terms describing attractions and nothing in terms of describing quality of facilities. It is basically a compilation of material available on the internet. This book may offer convenience for the non-connected traveller, but not a basis for comparative choices between parks. Not Recommended.

This is well done. It makes you want to visit all of the parks. It also helps by limiting the listings to only those that have RV spots.

It is very is to go to the state you are interested in, glance at a little map of were the parks are, then check out the ones you may want to stay at. There is enough information on each park for you to decide if it might be the right one for you to stay at for a night or longer. It gives you the basics at a glance. I found it very helpful in my travel across country.

Bought for our traveling with our 5th wheel. Looking forward to traveling full time after our retirement in four years.....staying as long as we want and packing up and moving on when we want to.

We look forward to camping in many, many state and national parks once we start full timing in our 5th wheel.
