Every now and then (random 20 to 40 minute intervals), I would wave an object in front of it to disrupt the surveillance view (approx 45 seconds) and write down the times at which this occurred. I disrupted with motion events 6 times. After the test, I reviewed the files. The file names include a timestamp. The timestamp is the beginning time of recording for that file, and each file matched with the time of my motion events. On reviewing each file, each motion was captured, and (for some reason), the camera records exactly 5 minutes of video once the motion ends and closes the file at that time. I don't know why it does this extra 5 minutes, but that's okay. This was filmed using the motion detection mode, so at 720P resolution, I consumed 2.6G of space over a 3 hour period.
All in all I was impressed with these results. For people who felt the motion detection did not work properly, I think they just needed to adjust the sensitivity of the motion detector, had motion and did not realize it, or perhaps out of the factory line there may have been a few lemons in the lot. But with this test, I confirm that motion detection works, and works well!
The product works as it states, its battery life is good and it is small enough to be inobtrusive if clevery applied. I still chuckle at the still frame I have of the two fools smiling on camera, thinking they had once again stolen from me with impunity...
Thanks for a great product!

Worked well enough on continuous record. Good quality recordings with good lighting. The night vision is horrible.Published 1 month ago by Amazon Customer
Clarity is not the best (not HD). But for an easily hidden camera, and what it can do, it is well worth the $. Takes a couple minutes to set it up. Works great!Published 1 month ago by Christopher H.
