3.0 out of 5 stars This book was pretty helpful...
This book was pretty helpful on the subject of making and keeping a best friend. Camy also had some very good points, like to be a good friend you have to be able to trust each other, and you shouldn't let a boy get in the way of a friendship. Camy also used some of her real-life experiences to show the reader what she was trying to say. But at some points in the book,...

If you want to be a better best friend then this is the book for you.I would only recommend this book to you if you are a girl, because boys and girls act differently and the rules that are in this book are mostly for girls. The main character of this story is a girl named Camey Baker. This book will help you learn 30 new rules to make you a better best friend. The mystery to this story is that 2 girls absolutely hate each other but later in the story they become friends. Now the question to you is why did they hate each othere and how did they become friends?I do not want to spoil the ending,so read the book if you want to know what happend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Camy's Friendship Help!, July 2, 2003
This review is from: Camy Baker's Love You Like a Sister (Camy Baker's Series) (Paperback)
I got this book a few years ago but I have read it 3 or 4 times since. It is a good book that deals with friendship while telling stories in between. I am wondering if the stories are true but that does not really matter. It's great.

Love You Like a Sister is a really helpful book. It gives you inside scoop on how to be a better friend and choose better friends. You might think that you know everything there is to about friendship but when I read this book I learned a lot of knew things. I was also a little surprised and I am glad that I bought it when I had the chance. For people who don't have many friends this might be a good book for them and make sure you choose the good friends that you can rely on.

This review is from: Camy Baker's Love You Like a Sister (Camy Baker's Series) (Paperback)
But at some points in the book, Camy needed to take a deeper look into what she was trying to say. At one point in the book, Camy remembered an experience where she approached some girls that she didn't know, and introduced herself. When the girls laughed at her, Camy referred to them as mean and self-centered, and made the reader think that all girls that did this were rude and snobby. However, what Camy did was actually pretty strange, walking up to two total strangers and introducing herself. What I'm trying to say is, although this book was excellent and very helpful, Camy needed to look back on some of the things she wrote to see if they were really helpful to the reader.

I thought that this book was very helpful to me. It made me realize how important friends are. It was written by a sxth-grader that knows a lot about friendships. The advice it gave was very practical. I really enjoyed reading this book and I hope you do too!

4.0 out of 5 stars A no nonsense guide on how to be a best girlfriend, October 20, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Camy Baker's Love You Like a Sister (Camy Baker's Series) (Paperback)
It's so hard being a friend, particularly when you're a girl. Guys, when they're friends, when they get mad at each other they just punch each other. Girls don't do that. Girls follow a whole different set of rules, and sometimes the rules are really difficult to figure out. Like what do you do if you know a friend needs to talk, but she WON'T talk?!? Do you push her? Suppose that makes her mad at you? When is it ok to fight with a friend? Is it ok to tell a secret a friend told you? Camy Baker puts all the rules down in black and white. She gives examples from her own life, and tells you why things are the way they are. It would have been so much easier if I had had this book when I was trying to figure out my friends!
