He brought forth biblical scriptures and events, and connected them to what was happening today. The Jews and Israel are God's Chosen people because of the promise he made to Abraham. One example cited, was how the 10 sons of Haman were hung and the Nuremburg Trial, where 10 German soldiers were hung for slaughtering and torturing the Jews. All the information is backed with scripture. It is a book so informative that you would not give it away.

This book is current and essential reading for anyone interested in the course of our nation from a spiritual and practical perspective.

The "friend" who bought this book demonstrated his ignorance of Christianity by being unaware of a famous Christian author and a well respected representative of God on earth who would be an unlikely person to write a political science book. It is apparent that the reviewer who gave this book "one star" is also disdainful of Christianity and anti-Christ. Christianity is no fantasy world. The prophecies of the Bible are no fantasy world. The turning away of this nation from God is no fantasy world. The dramatic increase in out of wedlock teens, increase of abortions and increase in violent crimes since prayer was taken out of schools in the 60's is no fantasy world. Disdain of or disbelief in Christianity does not eliminate the connections between Christian principles and a secure, moral, and prosperous nation. And "staying away" from this book will not eliminate the societal bad habits we have adopted that are leading our nation down a rat hole. This book is telling us what most of our churches need to say but are failing to tell us: How turning away from God and Godly principles is destroying our nation. Disliking this book will not change that fact. Reading it may.

If you haven't seen or heard these lessons, then you are keeping your head in the sand. Everything is based on Bible passages and Pastor Hagee has a wonderful way of making these verses come to life and gives us warnings on future events. The future is right around the corner. Take a look.... then LOOK UP.

This book is separated into 4 parts:

* A Nuclear Iran
* The Fall of America
* The Beginning of the End
* The Final Days

Part one deals with Iran's quest for nuclear weapons. The author says Iran will use them against the United States as well as other nations. The current political diplomacy needs to stop because it has allowed Iran to simply stall and build their arsenal.

In part two, the author looks at several problems with America. He believes a bomb will be used to wipe out our electrical system for months or years. He then talks about the world rejecting the dollar and the United States rejecting Israel's plea for help. Finally, he believes Christianity will become a crime in the United States.

The last two parts of the book are a little more focused on what the bible has to say about the return of Christ and the end of life as we know it on earth.

I am not sure of the purpose of this book. I would guess that it was wrote to simply get people (Americans) thinking about these topics. The author goes into a lot of detail about Iran, which I do question his "expertise" on Iran. However, he also goes into a lot of financial and economic detail about the United States, which I believe he has his facts correct for the most part.

I also question the title of the book, Can America Survive?. The ultimate answer of course is no, but as far as Christians are concerned it won't really matter since they will all be taken to be with Christ right before the tribulation.

The subtitle is also a little misleading, maybe it is just a marketing gimmick, 10 prophetic signs that we are the terminal generation. The 10 signs are given only in chapter 9 and are things like: oil, knowledge, television, and deception.

Overall, this book was interesting and easy to read but was otherwise unimpressive. Like I wrote earlier, I am not sure what the point of the book really is. What is the motive of the author: to get people thinking, to lead people to Christ, or to simply get his name out there and sell books about a provocative hot button issue?

While there is nothing really wrong with this book, if you have read the bible and are familiar with Revelation then you can probably skip this book. If you are not familiar with the bible then go read it first.

Required reading for everyone. Pastor Hagee helps show how TODAY's events where written in the bible YEARs ago. Stare and compare today's news with biblical precision.

Of all the articles, magazines and books that have addressed the end times, this book will absolutely convince you that as Americans we need to seek God, humble ourselves, and pray that there will be enough time to bring salvation to our loved ones and neighbors.

I have bought and read several of John Hagee's books. They are readable, informative, and not off the wall. He is grounded in the Scripture. He has some sobering questions for us on our ecomomy, our treatment of Israel and our complacency about Iran.

I immediately purchased this book after seeing the promotion for it on TV while watching Pastor Hagee's telecast. I found that the book "dragged on" for several chapters. The only part of the book that related to what was advertised was near the end, when it explained ten current prophetic events. I was looking so forward to this book, but I was truly disappointed. If you want to read a book on this topic, I'd recommend Dr. David Jeremiah's book entitled "What in the World is Going On?" It is written in much more understandable language for the average layman on this topic, and is very relevant.

I am a big fan of John Hagee's writings and 'Can America Survive' was everything I hoped it would be and much more. I literally carried the book everywhere I went, reading while waiting so to speak. It was a book that I could not put down and ended up reading it in about three days. If you want a one-word description - Awesome!

Hagee did it again... have read his work in the past, but this is really at the top of his list.
