About the Brand
Can Do Kid founder Deborah Churchill Luster is no stranger to kid-friendly natural food companies--she served as president for Annie's Homegrown from 1991 to 1997 and left the food industry to have three of her own kids. As a California mother of three small children, ages, 5, 8, and 9, Deborah says, "We developed the bar out of necessity. As a mom on the go, I need a healthy snack my children will eat. While an apple or carrots are my first snack choice, my kids won't always eat them and instead reach for candy, cookies, chips or other energy depleting snacks. The Can Do Kid nutrition/energy bar gives kids a nutritious energy-enhancing alternative that tastes great!"
Deborah conducted numerous focus groups with kids ages 5 to 11 to fine-tune the ingredients and the packaging. The packaging is colorful, with purple, yellow and red. A running Cheetah adorns both bars, and each package comes with two separate bars at a size made for kids. The Can Do Kid Bar was specially formulated for active kids and their parents. "This bar was created for the Can Do Kid, not the TV.KidU" says Deborah.

I GOT THESE FOR MY 2 YR OLD ABOUT A WEEK AGO. I LOVE THE NUTRITION IN THE BARS AND SHE LIKES THE TASTE. NO CORN SYRUP!!!!!!!!! GO TO THEIR WEBSITE FOR MORE REVIEWS AND INFO.
Update(1 yr later): my now 3yr old and 1 1/2 yr old love to split the pack since there are two pieces in each wrapper. I can't get them to eat any other nutrional bars and I tried all the Clif for kids bars. They prefer this one(chocolate crunch) to the other(cookies and creme).

Can Do Kid bars are yummy and full of organic ingredients. No hydrogenated oils, no high fructose corn syrup, far less sugar than a candy bar, and they actually taste great! My kids love them and so do I. Each bar has nine grams of protein. I like to keep them handy in the car to stabilize low blood sugar. We enjoy both cookies and cream and chocolate crunch versions.

It's hard for me to decide how to rate this product. Since I have had this flavor before, I know that they are tasty and my 10 yr old loves them. However, the chocolate bars were discolored as though they had melted at some point in a warehouse or while being delivered. I had open several of the bars and all were damaged. Thankfully Amazon.com has made it easy to refund my money, and I am a happy camper. I had ordered a box of the Cookies & Cream and they were not damaged. Just thought I would give others the heads up...
