Editorial Reviews

From Booklist

Gr. 2^-4, younger for reading aloud. Large, clear photographs will entice prospective jewelry makers. Many of the projects, which feature clearly written directions, seem easy enough for seven-, eight-, and nine-year-olds to do on their own. In some cases, an adult might want to be around to help with tracing a pattern (though these are not always given) or cutting accurately. All the finished projects look like something a child might turn out, so there shouldn't be much disappointment on that score. Among the projects are rings made of beads strung on pieces of yarn, necklaces made of beads, "pet rocks," and hair decorations. A satisfying project book. Ilene Cooper
