I Can Only Imagine is a compilation of probably the best Christian songs ever. They range from older songs(from the 70's) to songs that you may have just recently heard over the past few years. I first saw this CD when I was at my local library and decided to borrow it. Boy, I was glad I did. Honestly, ever song from start to finish touches your soul. You can go through both discs without saying "eh, I wonder what's next?" You can't always say that with CD's, especially two-disc ones. Personally, I think the two most heart-wrenching, touching songs are "I Can Only Imagine" and "Rise Again." If your a newer Christian or have been saved for decades, you will fall in love with these CD's.

I was given this as a gift, and what a soul stirring gift it was.
All the songs are wonderful, but there are 2 right next to each other that I play over and over and over. "Praise The Lord", by The Imperials, and "Rise Again", by Dallas Holm. I hadn't heard the Imperials before and began searching for some of their other works. These two songs are both oldies, but so prescious, and give me such peace just to listen to them. This is a good mix of oldies and newer songs that will open up your soul to release your love and praise. This is a 2 CD set, so you get quite a bit of good music.

When i first heard of this album's concept and title, i couldn't wait to buy it, track-list unseen. What a missed opportunity! Rather than "power anthems", this CD offers a mis-mash of CCM adult contemporary, covers, and the occasional actual power anthem.

I mean, i love the song Butterfly Kisses, but it's not anywhere close to a power anthem. Where's Trumpet of Jesus, by the Imperials? Or My Glorious, by Delirious??

A greater disappointment is that some songs aren't even the power version that you've come to know and love. Such as God of Wonders. Here you don't get the outstanding original by Caedmon's Call/Mac Powell, but a cover by Paul Baloche.

So, what could have been a double-CD set that never left my rotation became just another shelf filler. 3 stars because these are excellent songs, just not power anthems.

I am really enjoying listening to this CD. There are also other songs on this CD that I had never heard before that I've fallen in love with. It's a great CD to get you into the mood for workship.

Knowing what I was getting before I purchased it only makes this product more endearing to me. I love the praise and worship and the ability to put it on my computer at work, in my car and at home. Listening to this easily puts my mind before God's presence so that I may commune with Him. Further, I saw this on a TV add to be purchased from Time Life. It was a few dollars less on Amazon.

Great high lifting music for the soul

This CD is good. The sound quality isn't very good. I don't know if it just my CD. I love listening to it while I'm driving. It is good for revitalizing your soul.

There are some new versions to classic songs-but it still stirs the heart and renews the spirit-enjoy

Even if you are not a Church going type, the songs & music on this set of C.D.'s is so uplifting & joyful anyone can enjoy them. A great mix of praise & gratitude!

Wonderful music and musicians. Very easy to listen to. Very pleased with CD. Most songs are terrific.
