I Can Play Guitar System - Purple

The guitar I received from this purchase did not work, but I was able to exchange it at a local department store for one that does work. My 7 yr old daughter enjoys playing it a lot and has already learned a little how to play! Overall this is a good product.

We bought this hoping that it would help the kids learn to play the guitar (at least learn some chords). They lost interest very quickly b/c it was a little too advanced for newcomers.

The guitar works great, just not great for learning the guitar.

I purchased this for my daughter, she is 9. I thought that it would help her to actually learn to play the guitar, where games like Guitar Hero don't. This is pretty much a Guitar Hero game with out the great graphics and games that come along with it.

My toddler had fun pushing the buttons, and it has held up well through him trying to play a "real" guitar like his big brother. But that alone wasn't worth what I paid for it.

My daughter really wanted a guitar for her birthday, I thought this one would be nice since it came with the tutorial game. For us, it was a difficult tutorial to learn - even the super duper basic tutorial was a challenge. Just because of how much it cost, and because I had hoped it was just a learning curve thing, I highly encouraged my daughter to play through her frustrations and keep giving it another chance, but after a week or so, she gave up. I also tried to play, but apparently playing the guitar is not a skill of mine.

My daughters found this very difficult and boring to learn. Played with it for a few hours, gave up, never touched it again.
