5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have CD For Everyone, July 22, 2001
This review is from: Can You Hear Me (Audio CD)
This brilliant CD by the keyboard king Mr. Rick Wakeman is an absolute gem and should be in my opinion bought by anyone who loves incredible music with a spiritual message attached to it. This inspiring recording touches on sprituality and the love of GOD like no other that I have ever heard. The vocals and use of a choir are truly awe inspriring and Mr. Wakeman's playing is very harmonius and complements the recording in a masterful way as only he could manage to accomplish. Buy this CD you will be very glad that you did ....

5.0 out of 5 stars Real Hope & Faith, May 21, 2006

This review is from: Can You Hear Me? (Audio CD)
Rick Wakeman started a small label in the mid-'90s for inspirational releases. He is reportedly a born-again Christian, having turned his back on his past debauchery. There are some low-key albums with his then-wife Nina Carter, but those may be redone!
Chrissie Hammond and a choir provide vocals on this album, which may confuse those who aren't familiar with Rick and a common trend in progressive rock for solo musicians who don't really sing. Chrissie isn't exactly trying to be the next Amy Grant or Sandi Patty, nor is Rick the new Carman or Handel. There is no exact mention of God or Jesus here, probably so it doesn't come off as too preachy to secular audiences.
A 1996 release on Hope/Voiceprint Records.
