4.0 out of 5 stars smaller than I thought
This item is smaller than I had thought and made of plastic. I guess I had looked at so many things lately maybe I didn't read the description to well but I thought it would be made of glass and metal, not all around plastic. It does not rest on the area I had wanted it to, above my fireplace on the mantle, as it need the bottom of the clock to rest on a wall. A little...

1.0 out of 5 stars Nice design - unfortunately quartz movement doesn't work!
This George Nelson replica design is of less quality than many others on the market and comes with an inferior quartz movement that (in my case) did not keep time. Tried 3 new AA batteries but it ran very slow, losing 15 mins every hour. Love the design but advice would be to pay a bit more for a better product from a different source and manufacturer.

It does not rest on the area I had wanted it to, above my fireplace on the mantle, as it need the bottom of the clock to rest on a wall. A little disappointed but I still really like the idea and my husband found a new place to put it. So even though it is not as I thought, it is the only one of it's kind right now and I do still like it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just like I expected., October 4, 2011

This clock is a good size and really looks awesome. The only thing misleading about it is that there is a large plastic bubble covering it, which looks terrible and is conveniently hidden in all the product pictures because of the clever angles they take the photos from.

Luckily, its very easy to remove this plastic piece from the back, if you use a small screwdriver. The only downside to that is that eventually the clock will get dusty.

4.0 out of 5 stars very interesting piece ...and it works!, September 2, 2011

This is just the sort of wierd piece that I like to display in such a way that you don't notice it right away. The clock works and seems to keep decent time. The finish is a little cheap but hey, it's a novelty.

The product seemed wonderful at first glance, but the clock stopped working in about a month. Putting in new batteries did not help. Overall, a pretty useless product,

For awesome factor this is up there, but it appears to be slightly cheap construction and is MUCH narrower than any online photos (at Amaozon or otherwise) would lead you to belive. All in all though it is a fun and unique gift at a good price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really cool! Dali would be proud. A little hard to read though., November 18, 2011

Salvadore Dali, marketer extordianaire that he was, would love this product. Anyone who is into art and the surrealist movement would like this. It looks great hanging from the mantel on my fireplace. It's just a little hard to read as an actual timepiece. But I didn't buy it to tell time, I bought it because I am a Dali/surrealist fan.

I wrote a wrong report on this clock. I did not return it beacause it didn't work.

I really liked the clock and am enjoying showing it to family and friends. I would recommend it to anyone

2.0 out of 5 stars Clock looks neat but doesn't keep time, January 17, 2012

This review is from: Can You Imagine 2320 Melting Clock (Electronics)
Clock looks great but has never really been able to keep time. Right out of the box and with fresh batteries the hands would get stuck and not move even though it was ticking. Ours was clearly broken but the cost of returning and the hassle was worth more than the product costs. Buyer beware.

2.0 out of 5 stars Time stood still, January 16, 2012

I bought 2 as gifts. One of the two was defective and ran for a while and then rested for a while. It wasn't the battery. The other had the hour hand between numbers when the minute hand was on twelve - making telling time a guess. Plus it is VERY 'teetery" - it must go on a flat, hard front edged shelf or it will not stay. It is a cute gimick - but nothing to write home about. I wouldn't buy another.
