5.0 out of 5 stars The best of the picture puzzles., May 10, 2002
By
This review is from: Can You See What I See?: Picture Puzzles to Search and Solve (Hardcover)
These 12 pictures puzzles are beautiful to look out and ageless to figure out. In a picture puzzle, clear photography and faultless printing are essential. CAN YOU SEE WHAT I SEE? is the best I've ever seen. With this one there's very little of the trying to guess "what is that blurry thing?" that you get in other picture puzzle books. And it's clear what you're looking for. One nice thing too is that the list of things to find is right on the page with the picture -- no flipping back and forth to other pages. This is so much fun that after a friend saw my book she went and ordered one for herself, and when her niece saw hers and wanted one of her own, she got her one, too. I'm telling you, this is really fun -- and addictive. Whether you look at it alone or with a group, you'll have a good time! Makes a great ice breaker.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you love the I SPY series, you'll LOVE this!, May 14, 2002
This review is from: Can You See What I See?: Picture Puzzles to Search and Solve (Hardcover)
In Can You See What I See? Walter Wick takes the basic picture puzzle one step further and adds another element of puzzle to it. One example of this is, as well as finding different objects listed in the amazing photos, you have to determine what is missing on several playing cards. These twists give added challenge, especially thrilling for adult fans. I definately am excited to see what Mr. Wick will deliver in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars Walter Wick Does It Again, May 5, 2002
This review is from: Can You See What I See?: Picture Puzzles to Search and Solve (Hardcover)
My speech therapy students and I are loyal fans of Walter Wick's I Spy books. We anxiously await each new book wondering what the new book's theme will be. Can You See What I See? has gone beyond our expectations. This is a wonderful picture puzzle book that appeals to all age levels. As an educator, I find the language development opportunities are endless. My students enjoy the clues and pictures without realizing how many skills they are learning from the book. This book can provide wonderful opportunities for parent/child interaction as well as classroom fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Book!, August 15, 2009
This review is from: Can You See What I See?: Picture Puzzles to Search and Solve (Hardcover)
This is better than the other 'I spy' books. It has easy and difficult objects to find. But it also has riddles to solve on each puzzle, some are a play on words, some are challenges to find a specific path or connection through the objects. There are also optical illusions and photography tricks in the pictures. It seems as though more work and thought was put into this book than others of this type, my kids love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars We love this book....!, June 26, 2003
This review is from: Can You See What I See?: Picture Puzzles to Search and Solve (Hardcover)
My three-year-old son and I love this book. Some of the puzzles are beyond him but many or not, and I had a great deal of fun figuring them out on my own. I highly recommend this book to anyone with children, big or small.

Another hidden puzzle we found within the book -- on every page spread in the book, the little yellow-and-red "bead boy" (clearly visible on the title page) appears somewhere. The only place we HAVEN'T been able to find him is the "Magic Tricks" page....if someone spots him there, give us a shout out, OK?

5.0 out of 5 stars Really really really great for kids! And Adults! For Both!, April 15, 2003
This review is from: Can You See What I See?: Picture Puzzles to Search and Solve (Hardcover)
Games and photographs, and more games?your kids will love this book! It?s wonderful fun, and a wonderful sharing experience, and quite frankly don?t be alarmed if your kids smoke you at the games like my kids did me. Children are more keen with their eyes, and a world more determined. Two other musts for your kids library are: Jay Singh?s The Butterfly and E.B. White?s Charolette?s Web. And an absolute must for your own shelf: Paulo Coelho?s The Alchemist

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun for all ages, May 29, 2011
This review is from: Can You See What I See?: Picture Puzzles to Search and Solve (Hardcover)
This book contains 12 prints with pictures to explore, find hidden objects and puzzles to solve. This is also the first book in this series. The photos are amazing and the time and effort required to lay out the spread and capture the images, let alone the hint rhymes that guide you through finding the required items in the pictures - are impressive. Plus, after you have done the book over and over as children are want to do, you can find your own items and take turns calling out items to find and discover in the picture. The spreads in the book are:

String Game
In Bins
Card Tricks
See-Through
Wood Shop
Domino Effect
Magic Mirror
Picture Blocks
Assembly Required
Bump, Bump, Bump!
Alphabet Maze
Spare Parts

Going back and reading this first book after encountering some of the others, show that Wick's genius was present from the beginning.

5.0 out of 5 stars My kids' Favorite Book!, December 2, 2010
This review is from: Can You See What I See?: Picture Puzzles to Search and Solve (Hardcover)
My kids LOVE this book! They want to get others, but we haven't had a chance to yet! MUCH better than Where's Waldo. The pictures are so detailed. ANd, even when we had every item memorized, I just chose other items to have the kids find! HOURS and HOURS of fun!
