Can You See What I See? On a Scary Scary Night,
This review is from: Can You See What I See?: On a Scary Scary Night: Picture Puzzles to Search and Solve (Hardcover)
My two year old grandson loves loves loves this book. I loved the photos and he found things that I could not find on my own. Great to help alleviate fears that children may have of some "scary" things.

I started out as a fan of the "I SPY" books, and continued being a Walter Wick fan with the "Can you see what I see?" books. I don't have kids myself, so don't think this a "kids only" type of book! The settings and photography are artistically beautiful to say the least. Doing these "puzzles" really relaxes me and clears my mind. I'm sure some doctor somewhere could honestly say that these books are good for your health - keeping your mind active and your blood pressure low at the same time! Of course, these books are perfect for cuddling close with a child and solving the puzzles together! It's perfect a perfect way to wind down at the end of the day. If you like this book and also like the Halloween theme, try the I "SPY SPOOKY NIGHT".

This is my #1 choice for the new Halloween books released in 2008 feature on my blog at thirteenforhalloween.com
OK. Absolutely awesome!!! This book is so, so cool. From the photographer of the I SPY series. They built a set worthy of a full-scale stop animation film like "Nightmare before Christmas" and then photographed it for the images in this book. It is so amazingly detailed. The story concept is taken from the well-known "In a dark, dark wood" classic. You start far away from this incredible castle, work your way through the village, inside and up the top most room where there is a cabinet and on a shelf of that cabinet is a bottle and in the bottle is a . . . well, you just have to see it. Did I say it was amazing? It absolutely knocked my socks off. Dixie (my 1st grade teaching wife) and I look at every new Halloween book we can find, and we both agree, this is the cream of the 2008 Halloween releases for kids.

As with other Wick "Can you see what I see" series books, this one is excellent. Wonderful illustrations and well hidden objects can keep an adult, a 4yr old or 6yr old amused for hours! And then after you find it for the first time, you forget where it's hidden and have to do this over again. Also, we enjoy the written story (it's so well done)!!! Highly recommend these books from Wick.

An excellent Halloween romp!,
This review is from: Can You See What I See?: On a Scary Scary Night: Picture Puzzles to Search and Solve (Hardcover)
My 3rd grade daughter and I enjoy doing look and find type books (we have a lot of Disney ones), and we recently picked up this Halloween themed one by Walter Wick, who also helped create the "I Spy" books. We bought this at the Scholastic book fair at her school.
This is an excellent Halloween look and find outing. There are 12 pages of pics that you can spend a lot of time pouring over trying to find the requested items. The production quality of the pictures is top notch, and they have just the right Halloween atmosphere. The pages are very challenging, and there are a lot of additional items thrown in the pics, giving you plenty of "replay" options. I plan to buy the Christmas themed one next since this one was so well done. It's also fun trying to find the red and yellow wooden robot included in every picture.

Love this book! Anyone find the last key on hilltop house page?,

Love these books! Daughter loves them as well! Now has anyone found the last key on the hilltop house pages (also pictured on the cover?) We've found the two in the trees and the one on the roof, but can not find the last! We just keep checking it out of the library and looking for the last key. These books are that good! You have adults writing reviews asking for help with objects they can't find!

I love these books. They are beautifully done. I purchased one each for my grandchildren for Christmas gifts. They love looking for the hidden objects. Sometimes it is very difficult to find them!

Both my son (5) and my daughter (3) love this book, and so do their parents! The picture puzzles are beautifully composed and really clever, with some items easy to find and some trickier. The table of contents contains a play on the old "In a dark, dark room" story. It's a very well-thought-out book that has given our family a lot of enjoyment.
