Can this drive be used with a Mac, OSX

Yes, once the drive is plugged into the USB port. open your 'UTILITIES' folder - then open 'DISK UTILITY' from this point select 'MY PASSPORT' from the right hand menu in DISK UTILITY -then select the 'ERASE TAB' @ this point you will see your new external hard drive and it will show you on the bottom that the hard drive will be formatted for Windows. Simply click the drop down box and select Mac click reformat/erase. You now have a hard drive that has been reformatted to work with your Mac.

Yes, but I'd be concerned with the reliability of the drive. I've had three WD drives go belly up in the past two years. They honor their warranty but the contents of a drive is worth more than the hardware.

Yes, it does. I don't have a mac myself, but collegues that have macbooks have used it to watch my movies and tv shows and transfer files to their macs.

I don't have a MAC but it appears to have the software for both MAC and PC.
