Very good quality, very warm, but bulky.

Lots of goose down makes these gloves bulky, BUT also keeps your hands toasty warm.

More of a lower midwest type of winter at best.

These are very close to if not the best gloves I have ever owned. I have tested them in some mildly harsh winter conditions in Maine, New York City during the 2010 blizzard as well as some cold nights in Pittsburgh and my hands were never cold. My one complaint based on my own personal preference is that it is not a two in one glove with removable liner. I have owned dozens of pairs of snowboarding gloves that have all had the removable liner and have come to love that.

I live in Madison Wisconsin where it tends to get a little cold mostly during the winter time, you know when it snows. I have never had a pair of gloves that fully worked for me, and by worked I mean one pair of gloves to completely keep my hands warm without inserts or the gloves not being water proof. This time I decided to spend a little extra and get a good pair.. And these gloves delivered. This is the first pair of gloves where I had the complaint that my hands were to hot. I wore them the other day where it was snowing a sloppy wet snow and these gloves got heavy cause they were soaked to the point you could ring water out of them but they were still dry and warm on the inside. Long story short you get what you pay for, these are great gloves.

I purchased a pair of Canada Goose men's gloves from an authorized Canada Goose dealer. After careful inspection of the gloves inside on the cleaning and care label it says, "Made in China". I own several of Canada Goose's products and I must say they are the best winter outwear money can buy, but although these gloves have the Canada Goose label on them they're made in China which means to me although it says the gloves contain "Goose Down" even the folks at Canada Goose have no idea whether the down inside the gloves, if there is any, is either Goose down or Chicken feathers and these gloves were $125 so they weren't exactly "Bargin Basement Junk". Buyer Beware. Paste this link to see the gloves I'm talking about: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00508I2SO/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title

As a recent transplant to Northern Wisconsin, these last few weeks have left me with the harsh realization that I completely underestimated the bitter cold I have experienced here thus far. As such, I have made a rapid and steadfast effort to properly outfit myself so I do not freeze to death. To the locals, these temps are nothing, but to me, It is a far different scenario.

I recently picked up a nice down parka that keeps my upper body toasty, but my feet and hands were still suffering (the feet is the next item on my agenda).

After trying to get by with more affordable options, it has become abundantly clear to me that most companies out there do not make products for this type of winter. More of a lower midwest type of winter at best. After becoming sick of having my fingers frozen on a daily basis, and taking the advice of several others that Canada Goose was my best option for cold weather gear, I decided to pull the trigger on these gloves. In a nutshell, it was the wisest apparel decision I have made in a long time.

These bad boys are extremely well made, heavily insulated, lightweight and comfortable, but most importantly, WARM like your hands are wrapped in a cozy sleeping bag. I went ice fishing with some of the guys from work in them over the weekend (a fav pass time for people here in Wisconsin) where we were under a wind chill advisory of -20 to -30 below zero. Never once were my hands uncomfortable or wet. Score!

My really only complaint about these gloves would be the price, but then I have to ask myself how much is my comfort level worth?
Assuming these gloves have the type of durability that most have told me is legendary for this brand, consider me a satisfied customer.

i'm 6'6" tall and built....ive got big hands and although these gloves fit, they are just a tiny bit snug on the fingers. Warning.....they are very very warm. Very well made...i think they will stretch a little with wear...im happy with them...

Lots of goose down makes these gloves bulky, BUT also keeps your hands toasty warm. It is hard to judge what size to order because they appear very large. I ordered a size large for my hubby (Christmas gift) but had to return them. I let him try them on early, which was a good thing because he needed the extra large size.

I received the gloves quickly. They are warm even in sub zero temperatures and flexible enough to be comfortable. I would purchase them again.

I have used these in temperatures ranging from -40C to -15C (-40F to 5F) and here are my views.

These gloves perform better than your average winter/snow gloves. Up to about -20C (-4F) they have allowed me to stay warm for more than 1 hour outside as long as I am walking. The inner sleeve is a great touch to help keep the wind and snow out.

At colder than -20C, the utility of these gloves decreases. While still keeping you warmer than your average snow/winter glove, my fingers started to get cold after 15 minutes or so outside.

Overall, they perform much better than other non-down snow/winter gloves, but very similar to a pair of regular snow gloves to which you add a pair of thinner gloves inside to have two layers.

I am deducting two stars. One for the price. While I am a CG fan regarding their parkas, these gloves are made in China (not in Canada as their parkas) and given this I cannot justify the high price. I am deducting a second star as I would have expected them to perform much better in extreme cold given the quality and price that they boast.

To sum up, the upside of these gloves is that they are amongst the warmest I have found for these types of gloves, the downside is that you can get similar cold protection from using two pairs of much cheaper gloves. I will use my pair until they can no longer be used, as they were a gift, but I am unlikely to buy the same ones to replace mine when the time comes. They felt true to size for me.
