Best US road atlas by far!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Us/Canada/Mexico Road Atlas 2004 (Standard) (Road Atlas: United States, Canada, Mexico (Spiral)) (Spiral-bound)
If you buy only one atlas for driving in the US, buy this one and you won't get lost! My family travels by car quite a bit,all over the US, and I am always the navigator. I have used many atlases until I found the American Map Company atlas, and now I won't use any other. I buy the new edition every year. Some atlases are very confusing, in city interchanges especially, and this one is very easy to follow. It also shows points of interest in red along the way-- interesting tourist spots, museums, etc., that you may not have known were nearby if you are travelling through several states on vacation like we do. It also has maps of the national parks, which are good for pre-planning a visit. It also shows the location of rest areas on the interstates, which is very important if you have kids with you!!! I also like that it is spiral-bound, so you can just fold it neatly back to only show the map you want. I have compared this atlas side by side with Rand McNally and others, and it is by far the easiest to read. So get this one before you head out on that cross-country road trip! You won't be sorry.

Very nice maps and graphics, maps are reasonably detailed, however, this atlas has a serious defect in the way it depicts the Western states: Low population states like Utah, Wyoming and Nevada are given a single page instead of the double-page that their sizes warrant. Even Connecticut, which is tiny, gets a two-page spread, while Nevada, which has counties bigger than Connecticut, gets shoved into a single page. If you drive out West, you will want another atlas, perhaps a AAA, Gousha or Rand McNally. Overall good, but shortchanges Western states.

Easy to use road atlas,
This review is from: U.S. Road Atlas (United States Road Atlas) (Spiral-bound)
I like this road atlas because of its spiral binding. It lies flat when open -- a real plus when you're trying to manipulate it with one hand while (heaven forbid!) driving. Otherwise, it's pretty similar to most other road atlases with state and city maps, distance charts, an index, and national park maps. The colors are vivid and the maps are pretty and easy to read.

Best of the Best,
This review is from: U.S. Road Atlas (United States Road Atlas) (Spiral-bound)
Without a doubt the best road atlas you can buy. Spiral binding makes it so much easier to handle without destroying it.
Exceptional detail on State, County and other secondary roads. Larger size and scale provide much improved readability when you're on the move (of course I never try to read the map while driving). Excellent detail on city maps and way more notation of landmarks and points of interest than the other brand. Why waste your money on Rand McNally when this is available?

Large detailed atlas,

Most atlases have entire states on only one page. Consequently, many smaller towns are omitted. Most states in this atlas are on two (if not more) pages. Larger print. Easy to use.

This is THE ONLY road atlas to use if you want up to date construction and improvements on highways. It's sometimes hard to find - but it is worth the effort.None best!!!

A good road atlas,

THis is a pretty good looking road atlas. The spiral binder makes it less likely to end up like the glued and stapled atlases. The large scale maps are easy to read, even across the cab so you can see what she is telling you.

It is from 2005 but well printed with bright colors and dark lettering. Spiral binding is the greatest. Received in a timely manner

Purchased through Amazon, this atlas was delivered well within the specified time and was in like new condition. This is a fine product for those of us with less than perfect eye sight. Too bad the atlas cannot be updated.
