From Library Journal
Dennis, coauthor with Craig Date of Canoeing Michigan Rivers (Friede Pubns., 1986), makes bicycle touring through the vast landscape of Eastern Canada an exciting possibility. Twelve tours in the provinces of Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Quebec, and Ontario cover distances as short as 96 kilometers (a tour of Fundy National Park) and as extensive as 779 kilometers (a tour of Lake Superior's North shore). These routes are designed for extended, overnight touring, although each is divided into single-day segments. Dennis has taken great care to report road conditions, scenery, history, weather, and terrain. His descriptions of the countryside are fresh and lively. Mileage cue sheets are not provided although roads, directions, and approximate mileage are explained within the text. A first-rate bicycle touring guidebook. Recommended for sports and travel collections.
