5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the money
Simply awesome. This book reduced my dependence on computer with an internet connection, means I am carrying my PC with internet connection in the train on the bus and everywhere I want to. It is a portable handy resource with tons of information as per subject.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not so good!
All the information written are exactly the same as you find at the Immigration section of the Canadian Government Web Site.
I think they used the "Copy" and "Paste" and printed this book.
I'm sure It's cheaper for you to read the Web Site.

1.0 out of 5 stars Extremely dissapointing!, December 31, 2003

This review is from: Canadian Immigration Made Easy: How to Immigrate into Canada (All Classes) with Employment Search Strategies for Skilled Workers (Paperback)
I bought this book thinking it would be all I need to help me move to Canada. Boy was I wrong! Save your money, and do your own research. The information this author gives in his book is very basic, and nothing I could not have found myself searching on the net. I was hoping for some helpful advice and tips to put me at an advantage, I was disapointed to say the least. My mother was right buy a cheap book to save money instead of getting a lawyer and you will get what you paid for!
I checked with Communication Canada and they have nothing to do with authorizing private publications, just government publications and Immigration Canada did not inspect the book as he claimed. Take a look at this from the site... http://www.communication.gc.ca/publications/index_e.html
"As the official Government of Canada publisher and the Administrator of Crown Copyright, Communication Canada provides direction and services to all government departments on publishing-related issues. We manage the Government of Canada Publications Web site and develop, produce and distribute publications".

This review is from: Canadian Immigration Made Easy: How to Immigrate into Canada (All Classes) with Employment Search Strategies for Skilled Workers (Paperback)
This book containes a bit less information for skilled worker class immigration and employment search but I liked it. It offers an introduction to all categories for Canadian immigration if you are interested to know about all other categories then this is the book for you.It will take you to offical Canadian website for any update in policy. It is also packed with lots of websites for references and employment search.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Guidelines, December 21, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Canadian Immigration Made Easy: How to Immigrate into Canada (All Classes) with Employment Search Strategies for Skilled Workers (Paperback)
Following is the extract from this book which has given me the courage and guidelines to prepare a sponsorship application for my parents by myself and cleared all my doubts with regards to hire a representative and I did it very well.

"WHO MAY REPRESENT YOU
A representative may be a lawyer, a consultant or any other person, including a friend, whom you hire for a fee or ask to help you do any of the following at no charge: (1) apply for permanent residence or a temporary stay in Canada; (2) submit a refugee claim; (3) appear in front of an adjudicator; (4) appeal a decision; (5) apply for citizenship; or (6) request information on matters dealing with the Immigration Act or the Citizenship Act.
What you should know before seeking the services of someone to help with your application

Do you need a representative?

·Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) does not require you to have a representative. CIC have tried to make our application kits as simple as possible so that you can complete them yourself. You can get additional information on how to complete an application from the CIC Web site or from a CIC Call Centre.
If you decide to use the services of a representative, you are free to do so.

CIC treats all applicants equally and does not provide preferential service to applicants with representatives. "

Further, I'm satisfied to know that this book is Inspected by Ministry of Immigration and Citizenship (CIC) Canada and authorized by Communication Canada Ottawa, so it cannot be misleading.

A REAL HELP TO BE SELF SUFFICIENT AND SAVE $$$$

1.0 out of 5 stars Book is misleading, December 12, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Canadian Immigration Made Easy: How to Immigrate into Canada (All Classes) with Employment Search Strategies for Skilled Workers (Paperback)
First of all, author claims that it can turn someone into an immigration consultant. Well, beginning April 1, 2004 consultants must be registered with the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants or else Citizenship and Immigration Canada will not handle the case. See:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/consultants/index.html

and

http://csic-scci.ca/indexe.htm

Second, alot of this information can be found _for free_ with diligent searching, including the government immigration website:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.html

This website even has FREE information for new immigrants to Canada:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomer/menu-advice.html

You don't need to buy this book to learn how to find a job in Canada. You don't need it to learn all about health care, income security, language training, etc. as it is all in that previous website link.

Finally, the author is not a lawyer. He cannot give you legal advice. If you buy the book and your case is rejected, you cannot hold him responsible. He cannot help you appeal it.

BUYER BEWARE!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Making People Self-sufficient, January 14, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Canadian Immigration Made Easy: How to Immigrate into Canada (All Classes) with Employment Search Strategies for Skilled Workers (Paperback)
This book is making people self-sufficient and educating them about Canadian immigration, settlement and employment search. Broad-minded immigration consultants would welcome this book as it is creating awareness about Canadian immigration among their clients but at the same time this book may generate a false impression among some immigration consultants that this book is hurting their businesses.

1.0 out of 5 stars all of the 5 star reviews were contrived, April 4, 2008
This review is from: Canadian Immigration Made Easy: How to Immigrate into Canada (All Classes) with Employment Search Strategies for Skilled Workers (Paperback)
How can there possibly be such a disparity between readers of this book? People give it 5 stars or 1 star. That's strange isn't it? Yeah, it's because some of the profiles that give this book five stars are fictitious profiles. This book is trash, and everybody who's read it knows.
