The Canari Men's Eclipse II Cycling Shell is a super lightweight, packable, convertible Cycling Shell that will protect you against the elements. The WindShear fabric is lightweight, which means it won't get in your way. It's also windproof and water-repellent. There is a full zipper at the center front that features a draft flap to keep out the wind and rain. It's got a 9" back zippered pocket that converts to a stuff sack with waist attachments. Other features include zip off sleeves that converts the jacket into a vest, two side zipper hand pockets, a back drop tail for added coverage, and drawstring bottom hem. Material: (Body) Polyester WindShear Fabric. Size Chart (Chest Measurement); SM 38-40, MD 40-42, LG 42-44, XL 44-46, XXL 46-48.

Couldn't be more pleased with this jacket. Side and rear pockets zipper closed. Drop-in inside pouches either side. Drawstring closure at hem. Good vents under the caped shoulders. Haven't zipped the arms off yet but will in warmer weather. Jacket stuffs into rear pocket which has straps to permit wearing as a fanny pack. Good fit; not baggy. Can't imagine a more versatile, well-designed jacket for the money.

The description for the jacket says it is 'water repellent' in light rain. It is not water repellent in any way. After about 5 minutes in a light rain I was completely soaked. It's not like water was sneaking in through the zippers on the upper body either. Water was soaking through the back, the sleeves, the front, you name it. In no way would I consider this jacket water proof, water repellent, or water resistant. It's about as good as my bike jersey at keeping water out.

On the plus side, it does block out the wind and looks very good. The fact that it balls up into it's own self contained pouch makes it very convenient to stuff in your bag. The reflective elements give good visibility for night/early morning riding. The conversion to a vest is a nice feature too, but I have not tried that yet. Aside from water soaking feature, it is an all around very nice jacket. However, my primary reason for purchasing this jacket was for light rains, which this obviously failed at. Thus 2 star review.

Unfortunately, due to it's inability to provide any rain resistance whatsoever I only wear this jacket on days when chance of precipitation is 0%, which in my part of the country is rare during this time of year.

Well made, comfortable, great wind protection and love the zip-off sleeves. I wear it almost daily and it even worked to get me home in a Fall rain shower. I would recommed this to a friend.
