4.0 out of 5 stars Good shorts, May 15, 2009

I've ridden in these shorts several times and they are comfortable for 2 hour rides on rocky mountain trails. Around 3 hours my butt gets a little sore, but that just might be my seat or rolling over rocks for 2 hours. these shorts fit well, better than the Canari gel liner shorts, and don't give you a saggy bottom.

They are not good to walk in at all. I had to walk 3 miles because of a flat tire and I got a rash on my butt from the chamois and I was not happy. Don't walk or run in these shorts for long distances or you'll get a rash too.

Overall good shorts wih gel padding. The logo rubbed off my shorts within 1 month of wear, but the material is a decent qaulity. Good value for the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable, December 19, 2007

Let me start by saying that I only use these for a 10-20 mile ride on a stationary bike - I have no idea how they'd perform on a bike being used on a trail or something like that, or for a much longer ride. Having any sort of padding makes bike riding much more comfortable no matter what type of bike it is, but I don't know that the gel padding in these makes a huge difference over regular non-gel padding. I did find the shorts themselves to be very comfortable though. They are much lighter weight than another pair that I have, and also less constricting (no the other ones are not too small). I would recommend these to someone looking for a basic pair of padded bike shorts.

5.0 out of 5 stars Picky about cycling shorts, July 12, 2009
I ride ultras (as in I'm in the saddle more or less continuously for 16-21 hrs to ride 200-300 miles in a single event). These are the only shorts that I use. The only down side is that they offer no compression. I'm glad that Amazon offers them because I can't find them locally.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great shorts... but will they last?, September 15, 2011

Cycling is a regular part of my workout regime and I have a couple pairs of these shorts. Yes, they're comfortable with really helpful gel padding and they do look nice on. But at $50 I expected them to hold up better after only a few uses when I noticed lots of loose threads and lint-like pieces around the seams. Also the logo gets messed up easily, cracked and almost peeling. And it's not like I can't wear them, they just look old before their time, up close at least. All our cycling gear is machine-washed delicate inside lingerie bags and the only garments showing wear are these shorts. It could be worse - some people's bike shorts are so thin you see way more than you want to when they pass. This material is quite thick and keeps everything nice and private. Wish they had more color options though, and a new size for very tall women like me since these fit high-waisted, and I really have to stretch them up to get them up to my waist.
