Awesome!, April 12, 2004
This review is from: The Candidate for Goddess, Vol. 1 (Paperback)
The Candidate for Goddess Volume 1 is a book for anime/manga and sci-fi fans alike. The book starts the story out at a slow pace, like the anime. However the background story is more complete. Be advised that some pictures in this book are for teenagers and up. I would recomend this for any sci-fi or anime/manga fan. Especially if you are a fan of sereis like Gundam or Evangelion.

Fantastic story, March 7, 2009
This review is from: The Candidate for Goddess, Vol. 1 (Paperback)
Candidate for Goddess is a great manga that explores science fiction. The basic story is that Zero Enna, an individual with EO blood type and able to have "EX" reactions, is being admitted to GOA, an academy for training cadets for being pilots of one of the five Goddesses/Ingrids. Ingrids are very similar to Gundams and mechs.
This manga caught me with its rather unique story of humanity only having one planet left to defend against victim, Zion. It was a nice mix of space and academic atmosphere.
One downside is that the manga is incomplete and leaves you wanting more at the premature end.
