This is probably one of Elton John's most well-known and -loved songs. It evokes such strong feelings from times past, our own personal histories, as well as for the woman, "Norma Jean." This was a huge hit when I was in college, and it is still one of my favorite songs. It reflects an era for many of us that seemed simpler (now) and is often missed, although it probably wasn't so different from current reality....

I ;like most of Elton John's songs and this one is an awesome song. It can be used to honor anyone who has died young. Elton John is a very talented artist!

Beautiful ode to Marilyn Monroe. He evidently has a real "thing" for her. Then again, she died before I was born and I still think she has to be one of the sexiest and saddest women of all time. I'm with you, Elton.

What's to say .. if it's Elton John it's gonna be great, like everything he does. Obviously, one of the greatest.
