This text includes two of my favorite Denise Levertov poems, "For the New Year, 1981" and "Writing in the Dark." Included in this volume are poinant, beautiful, timeless poems that will resonate forever. "Writing in the Dark" is a wonderful poem for students of any age. I read it aloud to my college students and you could hear a pin drop. Students also identify with it in regard to their own journal entry writing.
