Actually, I can't blame them completely. I happened to receive a free download from iTunes for the track `I Don't Wanna Dance', but it wasn't until I heard Chris Colfer and Darren Criss (aka Kurt and Blaine) sing `Candles' on last weeks episode of Glee that I really took note of Hey Monday. Sadly, the Glee version is actually a lot better. That isn't to say that `Candles' isn't a good song, and I especially love the demo version included here, but the whole feel of Hey Monday is very generic to me. If you like Paramore then you'll like Hey Monday, but they lack the vivacious energy that Paramore brought to the table. It works, but to a more limited degree. `I Don't Wanna Dance' is a far better track than the two provided here (`The One That Got Away' is close to awful actually), but I still like `Candles' and I'm sure that these guys will stick around for a little while; but something tells me that they don't hold the staying power needed to make a real dent in this industry.
