Another trumpet king, October 1, 2008

This cd is an excellent find on an obscure record label. The sound quality is excellent capturing Conte Candoli and his band in a nightclub setting. Conte Candoli is a true West coast trumpet man, he plays with confidence and his sound is astonishing. Conte is playing at his best here on this album, just as he did 50 or so years ago in the Kenton band or during his time with the Tonight Show Band. Buy this cd, you will not be disappointed.
