I have seen the price double in candy containers and this is going to be a HOT new collectable. And so far this is the best book I have found and I have really looked.

I think this is a great book and do recommend it.

This book is great and a MUST HAVE for serious and casual or would be collectors of Candy Containers. I have been collecting glass Candy Containers for many years and have just begun collecting the plastic containers. This is the BEST book on the subject. It is well organized and provides just enough background on the history of candy containers. It must have taken thousands of hours to compile such an extensive list and take all those pictures... Such great detail! The price evaluations are surprisingly accurate. Even though there is a disclaimer that value is what it is worth to you and the hobby is ment for fun. What a book. I bought 6 of 'em for gifts.

I'm so happy a book finally came out on this, not so old, collecting of plastic candy containers. I can now see so many that I do not have, that will make the "hunting" so much more exciting. The book title says it all, "Modern Candy Containers & novelties", because there are few older ones listed. All in all, I think this is a great book and do recommend it to any one that enjoys collecting fun "stuff"!

This is a brand new (year 2001) 160 page delightful super collection of every type of modern candy container and related items. There are over 500 large, sharp, full color photos with ample item descriptions. Included is a brief history of the containers, information on candy container makers, and pricing. Items range from Barbie, baseball, Batman and Bugs Bunny to Tootsie Roll, Tweety Bird, Volkswagon and Witches. It's hard to imagine a book that could include every type of candy container available, but this book provides a nice overview of the popular collectible. Collectors will enjoy this new book.

I love this book! A must buy for your self, friends and family for a gift. Great for all ages.

For the novice/beginner collector, this guide will serve as a basic introduction with lots of really great pictures and general information on some modern novelty candy containers. But for advanced/serious collectors, this guide is not helpful. The valuation on most of these items is, in my opinion, inaccurate and historically there are many great items that were not included or mentioned. The organization of the items is poor and the authors could have really used this platform to give advice and encouragement or helpful information to current/future collectors. More research was needed.
