I simply adore all my Gooseberry Patch books. I read and re-read them season after season and when I get a new one I just can't wait to find a moment to myself to soak it up with a cup of tea by my side. I have resisted e-books for a long time, but when I discovered I could get Gooseberry Patch books with Amazon's free Kindle for PC software, I gave in! This book was a freebie today that I am loving already. I'm new to candy-making and I love that, as usual, GP has some great classic recipes for me to try which require just a few ingredients like fudge and buckeyes. I can't wait to try my hand at English toffee and caramel marshmallow delights. Thanks to GP for this little cookbooklet treat!

I admit a bias! I love anything by Gooseberry Patch. This nice kindle freebie, is filled with several great recipes for making the candy we love and enjoy. Like most Gooseberry Patch cookbooks, it has recipes submitted by readers. While this cookbook is an oldie, it is a goodie and readers will enjoy adding it to complete their collection.
I particularly found the explanation of the various stages of candy making helpful. I also thought it was nice that there were some nobake recipes so that kids can also enjoy making candy too.

I just can't say it enough...I LOVE Gooseberry Patch cookbooks. Don't let the size of this book fool you...these little books are packed with delicious, tried and true recipes just like the larger spiral bound and hard back cookbooks that Gooseberry Patch has to offer!
Candy Cookbook is full of candy, lollipops and fudge (and even popcorn) recipes that are perfect for each season! And, the tips at the end of this cookbooklet are so helpful...I'll be a candy making pro in no time!!

Decent candy cookbook
Easy recipes, for the price, you can't beat it. Some recipes are not great, but a few are keepers. Would recommend to a beginner at candy making.
