My husband buys all the Project Runway seasons for me. I am a loyal fan and watch them over and over.
The draw for me is the creative process and technic, since I sew myself. I also enjoy the competition, and the personalities. The drama and personal "reveals" you can keep. I find them a distraction, although I am sure some people like them.

I was so pleased with this season's winner! A beautiful collection. Was really disappointed with Christopher's and Sergio's. They are great designers but didn't know how to put on a fashion show.

A general comment about the show... especially considering Michael Kors' comment at the end about the winner being a real 'gentleman'... I don't appreciate all the bickering and cattiness and drama when everything boils down to who comes up with the best garment each time! The egos get in the way of many's success!

It has been said many times on the show (but seems to elude many of these designers) that in the REAL fashion world, nobody works alone. If you can't contribute to the success of a team effort, you just can't be a success.

I wonder sometimes if the contestants have ever watched the show. They should come prepared to put their best effort into whatever challenge they're given. Instead of recycling their particular esthetic into each one they should use the opportunity to stretch and morph and rise up to meet the NEW that can be learned here!

I love that Tim Gunn does such a wonderful job of mentoring! He shows such care and knows how to get the designers to see where they may be mis-stepping. Also, many of these people are very young and away from their family and friends and the genuine affection he shows gives them a lot of family-like support.

We see the fashion show of two looks on Times Square which really ramps up the volume on the series. Our format remains the same. There appear to be several extremely talented designers and as the less talented get eliminated it will be exciting to zero in on their work. The winner this week does a fabulous job. Not only is the evening gown gorgeous but he also manipulated the fabric itself, turning the textile into an art work. I've noticed as the seasons have gone on that fabric manipulation, which is an art technique, seems to be growing in use. This is a really good trend as creating fabric itself which is stunning is certainly a stellar attribute to have in this field.

Can't believe this is the tenth season! Wish the squabbling on some of the numerous tv shows would cease and desist. It is not
entertaining at all and a real turnoff. This season seems to have had a lot of lesser talented contestants...a better quality designer
was more prevalent in some of the beginning seasons. I couldn't believe how hard it was for some of the designers to create
and sew - they seemed truly untalented. Think they need to pick out some higher quality and more skilled people. I won't be
coming back as a viewer....animal planet here I come!

Love the show - hate the video quality. Amazon - allow users to exchange this for the HD version instead of having to buy this, realize the quality is crappy, and then go buy the HD version. Ripoff.

I love this show but during this episode of "Fix My Friend" the challenge was anything but for the plus sized woman that contestant Ven Budhu was assigned to "Fix." I can't call Ven a designer but must say he makes lovely rosettes on material like frosted roses scooped from a cake and makes knots of fabric here and there.

Ven spent the entire episode complaining about his "Fat" client to all the other designers: to Tim Gunn who's jaw dropped, to the "Fix My Friend" pal who brought her "friend" she said "...I wanted her to look good and to be happy not to be dressed for a funeral..." and finally Ven let his "Fat" client know just how fat she is, how hard it is to designer for her misshapen body, how black sliming fabric can be.. till this girl was in tears throughout the show.

I am so repulsed that Ven got to stay after such a disgraceful display of cruelty to an invited guest who went on the show to be papered not disgraced, humiliated and bullied by this rosette maker. When I hear Ven is off this show then I may tune back in but this guy puts the "Run...Run...Run..." in this episode of Project Runway.

if you read the fine print on this show, the producers have the final say on everything, including who gets kicked off as a contestant. most viewers do not know this. they think the judges have the final say. never was this fine print more at work than on this episode when a genuine villain appears among the contestants, treating his client horribly and making an absolutely awful dress for her. the viewer comments have gone through the roof over at the show's website, exactly what the producers want to achieve. this is because this designer was NOT the one eliminated but rather someone else who made a rather tacky dress but the client was delighted with it. villains make for great tv so this contestant became "must keep". this is a serious limitation on all "reality tv" which usually is as orchestrated as its fictional counterparts.

they did the pick the right winner though and i don't think anyone interfered with that. the winning design was an absolutely incredible makeover, proving that this challenge is indeed possible to meet. The winner's client looked about as hard up for fashion and style as it is possible to get.

the challenge was to design clothes for real women out in the real world with real bodies, not fashion model bodies, which is the usual staple of the fashion world. the way to win this challenge is NOT to say every time you are on camera that your client is too fat for your design skills, especially when she can hear you.
